Great update!
>- added: SESSION syntax in cue file

Does this mean Jaguar CD is now dumpable? wasn't it just a multisession thing holding it bacK?

Re: DICUI: A simple, effective DIC GUI is now available! (28 replies, posted in General discussion)
DICUI development has been booming with darksabre76 adding a ton of updates, fresh off from a major ReignStumble update:
Here are some feature highlights:
* edccchk now run on all CD-Roms
* Discs unsupported by Windows are now recognized
* Automatic drive speed selection
* Add ability to stop a dump from the UI
* Automatic submission information creation
The last bullet in particular is an incredibly helpful feature. It now aggregates all info from the logs into a submission template.

I'm guessing this is to use Redump as a reference.

Re: Should Disc Image Creator be used for DVD-Video? (5 replies, posted in General discussion)
Not for DVD-Video DRM.
DIC can dump DVD-Video without DRM, but definitely check. If no DRM shows up in DVD-Decrypter, then you're safe to dump with DIC. Most bonus discs do not have DRM.

Re: Should Disc Image Creator be used for DVD-Video? (5 replies, posted in General discussion)
Pretty sure all the current DVD-Rom dumping guides specify that this guide should be used: http://wiki.redump.org/index.php?title= … ping_Guide
It's possible to use DIC, but I think you have to play it in VLC first? Even then DIC doesn't output the keys so you'll need to refer to that guide anyway

Why not polish the disc?
The problem is that DIC was spitting out no C2 errors when some of the dumps were clearly bad...

Re: DiscImageCreator (3,488 replies, posted in General discussion)
I've had this happen before too. Eventually I was able to get a match for a rom found on the internet (and later someone verified my dump).
To recap: dumped a few different times with different checksums, no c2 errors after rereads. Disc was clearly scratched.

A chemical reaction is likely to be a more likely explanation, or the top layer finally decided to flake off.

FYI I just chatted with Beliskner on the Discord, he's looking into getting another PS3 console to dump with, but could also be a huge help building our miss list for PS3 PAL if he had dumper status :3

I'm in touch with a dumper about dumping some rare 3DO discs including Dinopark Tycoon, the disc is perfectly clean but he is getting c2 errors on this disc when dumping with DIC. Schrodinger said 3DO discs have had issues with DIC in the past,, here are the logs https://www.dropbox.com/s/uql7n11i9iiqk … 9.zip?dl=0

Re: PSP dumping (74 replies, posted in General discussion)
Seems like keeping the tracks separate would be more accurate... at least we know the two tracks are perfectly dumped (even if additional data would need to be added later).

Re: DiscImageCreator (3,488 replies, posted in General discussion)
We need to decide, how to detect the offset on them. But the 'magic' bytes in the first track should be located at the same address for all the dumps.
I'm trying to figure out if everything will need to be redumped. Fine if necessary, but the sooner we have an answers / solution, the more helpful it will be.
A new disc was added today: http://redump.org/disc/52142/
And as I said, another dozen are ready to be dumped when we have the answers...

Re: PSP dumping (74 replies, posted in General discussion)
>We probably won't be able to add these dumps to Redump until there's a dumping tool that can dump both partitions at once, to ensure that there isn't a gap between them.
I don't see the problem adding the good-two-tracks to redump even through additional data may be missing. Similar to how all the data for CD-Rom discs have subchannel data that can't be perfectly dumped afaik or CD-Rom's with DRM may still be added to redump - but require MDS dumps to actually play.
If the two ISOs are perfect dumps of the data they contain, then they should be added IMO, their integrity is not compromised, only additional data may need to be included later.

Did proper support ever get added for the GameShark Pro update CDs? http://redump.org/discs/system/psxgs/
Where did we leave off on that? One of our member has a dozen waiting to dump.

So we definitely want to merge for redump? seems like it might be an advantage to just leave them separate, or leave the movie part out altogether...

Re: PSP Dumping Stealth movie / WipeOut Pure demo combo disc (17 replies, posted in General discussion)
Well if it's unusable "merged" why not just leave it usuable as separate tracks? In the in case of Stealth/WipeOut demo, leave the movie out altogether.
