DICUI development has been booming with darksabre76 adding a ton of updates, fresh off from a major ReignStumble update:

Here are some feature highlights:

• * edccchk now run on all CD-Roms
  * Discs unsupported by Windows are now recognized
  * Automatic drive speed selection
  * Add ability to stop a dump from the UI
  * Automatic submission information creation

The last bullet in particular is an incredibly helpful feature. It now aggregates all info from the logs into a submission template.

I'm guessing this is to use Redump as a reference.

Not for DVD-Video DRM.

DIC can dump DVD-Video without DRM, but definitely check. If no DRM shows up in DVD-Decrypter, then you're safe to dump with DIC. Most bonus discs do not have DRM.

The problem is that DIC was spitting out no C2 errors when some of the dumps were clearly bad...

FYI I just chatted with Beliskner on the Discord, he's looking into getting another PS3 console to dump with, but could also be a huge help building our miss list for PS3 PAL if he had dumper status :3

Thanks for your reply archivr205, but I think it would be more useful for noobs if it's fleshed out.

I'm in touch with a dumper about dumping some rare 3DO discs including Dinopark Tycoon, the disc is perfectly clean but he is getting c2 errors on this disc when dumping with DIC. I'm trying to figure out if everything will need to be redumped. Fine if necessary, but the sooner we have an answers / solution, the more helpful it will be.

And as I said, another dozen are ready to be dumped when we have the answers...

I don't see the problem adding the good-two-tracks to redump even through additional data may be missing. Similar to how all the data for CD-Rom discs have subchannel data that can't be perfectly dumped afaik or CD-Rom's with DRM may still be added to redump - but require MDS dumps to actually play.

If the two ISOs are perfect dumps of the data they contain, then they should be added IMO, their integrity is not compromised, only additional data may need to be included later.
