I have no idea of what it's worth, but you want an account to dump it and add to our database or you're not interested?

Is there executable binary in disc 2? If there is not, it's difficult to find its protection.

Nope... Absolutely nothing, no executables anywhere. It's just a bunch of game folders and a video game trailer.
I did multiple tries with isobuster, too, and apparently the resulting image file is okay, i've got only one error and consistent hashes.

I've got some trouble with the PC game Silver, Italian original version, protected with SecuROM.
Any drive produce a different dump with different hashes on CD2, while CD1 gets dumped correctly.
I did the tests on the 760A, 716A, 716SA and W5224A, all the dumps have 49 errors instead of just 1 like all the SecuROM CDs.
Usurper back in 2017 http://forum.redump.org/post/54720/#p54720 had a similar problem with his German version discs, and somehow you've managed to fix that, hopefully you can do the same for these discs here.
Here's the three set of logs: https://mega.nz/folder/RlEjiQKI#GBRfDCPMCNWzB5f0j2eXdQ
Let me know if you need something more, i will help and do other tests if it's necessary.
EDIT: Added the logs for disc 1 as well, maybe you want to check that too.

http://redump.org/disc/27824/ i've dumped the disc myself, so i wonder why you haven't found it previously. try to search for SCES-01518 instead of SCES_015.18

The same PAL disc was dumped by eight different members, i doubt that the dump is incorrect. Most likely, in the NTSC version someone at Capcom have added some "padding" file to fill the rest of the disc. As a common practice, many developers were filling out the disc with empty data to "push" the real data to the external edge of the disc, so that makes it easier for the console laser lens to read it. If you're still in doubt and you want to be sure of that, the best thing you can do is to buy and dump that disc yourself.

I think that you haven't understood that there's no download of ANY rom file here. Redump is a disc preservation project that consist in a database of hashes for the dumped discs. If you're only interested in downloads you might have to look in other places, surely not here, we're not hosting any data and we don't have anything to download. If it's not in this list, you can't do anything with it.

It's not an easy thing to do, simple as that. We can explain it better, we can put screenshots or whatever, but the problem is that you will never find an easy method to dump a disc with physical protection. The method described is already tested multiple times and working. The SOHD drive was tested multiple times in comparison with other CD drives and it's proven to be the best that we know at the moment with LaserLock and ringed discs in general. Me and LoStraniero have dumped tons of FX Interactive games and we know that the method explained is reliable, thanks to the help of the tool from reentrant.
To be honest it doesn't look like the guide is too much hard to follow.
1) do a broken dump with DIC to get the offset, PVD and all that shit
2) dump with CloneCD, it takes three hours or more
3) save the CloneCD logs, sector 1000-3000 were skipped (for example)
4) use the CDArchive command with backwards reading as explained, from sector 3002 backwards
5) repeat the process if needed until you see that your drive won't read anything anymore
6) use again the CDArchive command with reading front (from sector 998)
7) repeat the process if needed until you see that your drive won't read anything anymore
8) merge all the data obtained to get a complete image
9) fix errors with CDMage
10) submit
And also, DVDs are already working without any new drive. You can even use a cheap laptop drive. Just do a dump with CloneCD and then check if you can read some sectors backwards after the CloneCD dump. Most of the time you don't even get much sectors, just two or three more in my experience and in most cases. Just be careful to use the weird .cue file to load the iso inside CDArchive.
I really don't know what else i can do more... the guide follows the exact steps that we're doing. If there's something we can improve please let us know.

*****EDIT*****:
I've added the CDMage informations and link to download to the guide because it wasn't mentioned before.

How can I create a sub file in this CloneCD? This file is only created in MPF

CloneCD will create a dump with .ccd, .img and .sub files. Try to complete a full dump to get the .sub file.

Because it is your duty as a mod to verify all the fields before accepting, any mistake is your mistake smile

Okay, but as i've explained that before, i don't really see this as a problem or a mistake.
And covermount should be used, IMHO, just only with the discs bundled with the magazines.
We can write "Bundled with Guide Book", for example, when the disc was bundled with a Guide Book/Strategy Guide or something similar, i don't know, in a similar way as we're doing with bundled Audio and DVD discs, when we're writing "PS2 Game Bundle" or "Bundled with Sony PlayStation 2 Game".

What is the difference between "Bundled with Magazine" and "Covermount"?

I think "Covermount" is a mod's (Lizard) mistake.

No one ever used "Bundled with Magazine" in PC or MAC datfiles (in the recent history, at least). And fuzzball itself submitted all the Maclife/MacPeople/MacUser discs with the Covermount tag. Why this should be my mistake? I feel like Bart Simpson sometimes.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37nwLhIA1zs
That's not something i've just invented, i mean, there's even a Wikipedia page on it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Covermount

Covermount (sometimes written cover mount) is the name given to storage media (containing software and or audiovisual media) or other products (ranging from toys to flip-flops) packaged as part of a magazine or newspaper. The name comes from the method of packaging; the media or product is placed in a transparent plastic sleeve and mounted on the cover of the magazine with adhesive tape or glue.

To be honest after reading this clear description "Bundled with Magazine" seems to be just a fancy way to say the exact same thing...

E. g. I recently came across the "BestSeller Series" editions of some Blizzard games and someone entered Diablo II as "BestSeller Series (2nd edition)", although that does not make much sense. There is just one edition of those Bestseller Series titles.
And then there are titles like "Quake III Arena", which is named "Quake III: Arena" in the database.

I'm not sure what happened there with the BestSeller Series (2nd edition), maybe it was used because it's a second print run with a different disc or barcode? It's not uncommon to have different discs for the same "edition", BestSeller Series in this particular case. In regards of the Quake III Arena, i agree that we can rename that, but i've seen different references to Quake III Arena or Quake III: Arena in a lot of websites. Going by the name on Steam and what's written on the cover i would be honestly remove the two dots.

Great.  I submitted a bunch of dumps through the forums.  Should I resubmit them using New Disc or leave those alone since there doesn't appear to be a way to delete a forum post?

No need to delete them from the forum, we'll gradually remove them when we're going to check and add everything to the database. If you can submit them with the new disc form that should speed up the process. Thank you!

First of all, please use the latest release of MPF (that's the new name for DICUI) https://github.com/SabreTools/MPF here.
Second, as explained here: http://wiki.redump.org/index.php?title= … Protection
you'll have to add the /sf command manually before starting the dump.

Game Studio.bin 8 /c2 20 /sf

We can't dump all the unlicensed discs at the moment with but you can still try it if it's going to work with your disc.

You're right, this SecuROM version is different than the USA, Eur-M3 and German releases.
I've dumped it now with your new version and it's matching the dumps i did with IsoBuster and CloneCD before.

Hey sarami, i got a problem when trying to dump a PC game with SecuROM. The game is Shadow Man (Italian version, serial CD194141.05-ITA) and the SecuROM version is 2.75.00, i've tried to dump the game with your latest test version and i always get multiple dumps with non-matching checksums, and also the subintention.txt file is always empty.
This might be a problem related to SecuROM protection? I've dumped 4 times the same disc with IsoBuster and CloneCD and i always get the same checksum on the resulting image file, so i think that the disc is totally fine.
I've tested the dumps with my PX-716A and a PX-W4012TU.
Logs linked here, let me know if i can do something about it.
