I suppose you can see what is essentially a "sanitised" version of the new disc submission by looking in a disc page's history.

I suggest that when this "seperated dumps" system is implemented, all old entries be kept with the old system and all further submissions be added using the new system. The old entries can be "ported" across to the new system on an individual basis - people could make fix threads where they provide evidence to demonstrate which bits of data go with which dump, e.g. using dump submission threads, disc page histories (and by asking dumpers or just working it out logically, if necessary)

Actual disc images aren't available here, you will have to look elsewhere.

Fullwidth spaces/latin letters etc

Surely this isn't how they all really are on discs/packaging/websites/in-game?

Please give Jhynjhiruu an account. He is indeed from VGPC and has been pretty helpful there.

What systems do you have?

@RZone could you tell me which new games/revisions you suspect you might have? I can check if they are in the database.

Serial numbers on the wiki are generally just list known serial numbers of boxes that have the disc inside. There may be more that what are listed.

No, they are not linked. You can only see a possible relationship from "edit history" aka RSS.

Are there also records of the "new disc" form submissions?

I assume this new format would be just as accurate?

In the meantime, I've added your name to the relevant wiki page.

Its true that the packaging may be too unreliable for it to be worth linking with other info. Maybe the info could be presented as-is, and as a way for people to judge the reliability of the data, the page would list how many "verifications" there have been of that data. Or maybe there is a way to tell that something has been re-packaged? I don't know.

But I think it would definitely be a good idea to match ring codes + disc serials.

Ah. I thought that'd be the case. I guess you can (manually) see the relationship from the history, but I think storing the relationship properly in the database would be a good improvement.

Is each dump stored separately in the database?
E.g. could someone (with direct access to the database, if necessary) see that a certain box serial goes with a certain disc ringcode, or a certain box barcode goes with a certain box serial?

Yeah. These "dat" files were originally created for ROM managers tongue

The usual way for programs to use the data is by getting the user to download a dat file and provide the program with it. But I appreciate this may not be what you want.

This isn't really the forum for that. But what game format are you talking about, and what do you mean by open? View the filesystem?

You won't find xbox games for download here (or that much about xbox modding). This site is about dumping and cataloguing discs, including xbox discs.

Note about plextors - you can find DICUI-compatible USB plextor drives. They may be generally rarer or more expensive but you can occasional find one for cheap.

Why does that matter?

But if you want to know what/is isn't dumped for the restricted systems I'm sure someone could help you.

You can get access to a Wii disc dat here if you post a few Wii disc dumps, but I there isn't any Wii BIOS dat anywhere here (or anywhere full stop that I know of). But No-Intro will probably get Wii system update titles datted soon.

Redump is about submitting metdata about disc image dumps of your games, not playing them tongue

Only some users have wiki access, e.g. user7.

So feel free to post liks you did here, or if you want, you can ask for a wiki account in the account request sub-forum.

Also available are several Wii games when Wii is added to the database.

Wii does exist in the database, it is just hidden to people who don't have the dumper status.

Why are some discs marked as "Asia" rather than specifying the countries?
E.g. for the Wii the Taiwan/Hong Kong/China discs are marked simply as "Asia", but other country combinations (on other systems at least) are marked as "Asia" too, seemingly contradicting that.
