PS4 kiosk disc seems to not want to dump properly, possibly related to the recent blu-ray updates? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tPbF98 … sp=sharing

You're now responsible for buying all of those smile

This drive can't read the lead-out

I used to be able to partial dump the scm for discs where label covers data (example): https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/Qf4AAOSw … -l1600.jpg

Can this feature be re-added? It is important for dozens of PS2 unlicensed discs.

Still having issue with latest test version. Possible to add disable checking for lead out?

Add "Press Kit" to Common editions/releases checkbox for PC. No point in me having to type it out for the thousandth time.

sarami, i believe the ability to properly dump PS2 unlicensed discs has once again regressed. Everytime I dump I get a different hash. This issue seems to get fixed and regress once a year for the past few years.

Dumped with different newer versions of DIC including latest stable and latest test (logs): https://drive.google.com/file/d/15XIhk_ … sp=sharing

Please have a look when you get the chance. Many thanks.

Make sure you get a refund.

Also reminder that bad/cheap USB adapters will fry your disc drives. This happened to a few of my plextors before I caught on (because they would work sometimes then randomly fry them later).

Australia / New Zealand would be a neat dual region. Especially for instances like this: http://redump.org/disc/69035/

Just to clarify for the wiki. Does this have any effect on dumping X360 discs, whether it's checked or unchecked?

A read error should occur shortly after starting the dump. This is normal. Check the box "Apply zero fill to all remaining sector errors." and click the "Zero-Fill Sector(s)" button.

This doesn't answer your question but many of us are using internal drives but with a USB adapter. Here are recommended brands/models. Check your localized Amazon for a cheaper price:

Avoid other brands / models.

sarami, im still redumping my ps4 bd-r's with the new dic build. A few of the redumps match the isobuster dump, here's an example: https://drive.google.com/file/d/13xTymU … sp=sharing

I wanted to share these logs to match in case they are useful for study.

3. change the disc if possible.
4. change the drive.

Okay, i tried with those settings, same results. Disc dumps fine in isobuster on two different drives, but not with dic hmm
There is another one on ebay, expensive but I bought it.

Returning to this old discussion. The second copy arrived and dumps fine with DIC. It is the same hashes that the old one was getting out of IsoBuster.

It seems DIC is more sensitive than IsoBuster to triggering c2 errors for some reason.

I don't think I'm going to be able to justify buying a new scanner for this, so I'll have to make do with the only one I've got, which is an HP ENVY 5660 All-In-One. I've scanned plenty of things with it in the past and never noticed any obvious problems

As co-author of that scanning guide, let me assure you that scanning is very much a diminishing returns kinda thing. I'm sure your scans are fine for by-and-far most general reference purposes. That said, redump does not deal with scans - archive.org is a good place for them to live.

From my racing friend who is a GT expert:

>What does "spec" stand for? trying to figure out proper capitalization.

Good question - I don't know the answer. As far as I know Spec stands for Specification.

What I do know is that in Gran Turismo 4 there was a new mode called B-Spec, with A-Spec being 'normal'

You can read about both modes here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gran_Turismo_4

Scroll down to the 2nd section, 'Gameplay'

I asked a friend whos a huge GT and race fan, he should know.

A-SPEC probably not capitalized as that refers to a specific Acura edition and not related to the game. I presume "spec" means the "specs" aka specifications of the vehicle, which is very important in tuning racing cars.

So this will likely come down to the game's stylization "A-spec" versus any naming rules "A-Spec".

sarami, i dumped a disc with two different drives - a plextor and LG. the hashes were the same, and tracks split the same, but the LG has a different write offset value. Is there a reason?
