I've dowloaded your latest DIC build, and while trying to dump a PC game i obtain this error (taken from _mainError.txt)

nLBA 93, Directory Record is invalid
nLBA 178, Directory Record is invalid

and of course the copy is interrupting. What is happening here?

cool, thanks for this fix. i've just changed the languages.

That was my error, already fixed that. Sorry for the trouble smile

Thanks. I've tested the game and actually it's English only, so i will fix the Redump entry.

He already dumped http://redump.org/disc/63462/ http://redump.org/disc/63463/ and http://redump.org/disc/63163/ for us, he have a Plextor drive and can help us with some other new stuff smile Please add him and give him the dumper status.

Regarding the IT names i should say that the titles used in the datfile are not exactly matching the cover and the disc.

For example:
http://redump.org/disc/49580/
the datfile title is "Magazine Ufficiale PlayStation 2 Demo Italia 09/03"

https://crimson-ceremony.net/demopals/ops2mit/it200309-1.jpg
the cover says "PlayStation 2 Magazine Ufficiale - DVD Demo 15"

https://crimson-ceremony.net/demopals/ops2mit/it200309-2.jpg
the disc title is "ups2m demo italia 09/03"

I haven't added them myself to the database, i've just sent them when i was not a mod yet, but they can be corrected of course.
We should decide to put the cover name or the disc title as the main name inside the datfile.
My opinion is that the cover title may be easier to order and it's easier to get a consistent file name for all the entries. Starting from "PlayStation 2 Magazine Ufficiale - DVD Demo 01 (Italy) (En,Fr,De,Es,It)" and going on. Or, if we want to take an "international" title to be consistent with all the other entries, the title may be "Official PlayStation 2 Magazine Demo 1 (Italy) (En,Fr,De,Es,It)" for example.

Good to know, i'll try to dump my laserlock games with my PX-716SA when i'll be back home next month.

We can only accept dumps from original disc sources, dumped with the methods explained in the wiki section of the website. What is the game that is not listed in the wiki page? Any info on the serial number?

PX-7XX series reads CDs and DVDs, while the other drives reads only CDs.
Aside from that i haven't noticed anything different between models, the drive reliability all depends on the state of laser wear IMO. Sometimes you may find a better model or a worst model, based on how many discs was readed with that particular drive. I own a PX-708A, a PX-716SA, a PX-W4012TU and a PX-W4824TA.

There's not a recommended model for CD-i games, it's a standard CD and any Plextor drive from the wiki page http://wiki.redump.org/index.php?title= … patibility can be used to dump it. Personally i've used a PX-716SA to dump a CD-i game without a problem, but like i said any drives from the wiki guide could read it.

Yes, it's L330 and A01 reversed. I've fixed the ringcode.

We gave you the dumper status and i've added your PSP verifications. http://redump.org/discs/dumper/catlanx/
If you have other PSP and PS3 verifications please add it to the forum, or use the "new disc" form from the main page (under the discs menu) if you want to submit something that's not yet inside our database.

AFAIK, it's not mantained anymore. Personally, i don't use it anymore because DICUI can find the EXE date and the Libcrypt sectors automatically, and after all the dumping procedures, the program will add all the obtained data to the submissioninfo.txt file. When i was using the "old school" DIC dumping with batch files and command line, i've noticed too that psxt001z sometimes may fail to obtain the data from the disc, because the EXE file it's not in the place where the program is searching, usually the root of the disc. You may use this guide http://wiki.redump.org/index.php?title= … andard_EXE if you still don't want to use DICUI to obtain manually the same data.

You have tested the ULES-00811 PAL version, i've tested the NTSC version CDRomance linked and i found it's actually only in English. Thanks for the info.

Dump added, please as i said before check for Mastering SID and Mould SID codes on the discs. From the next time you can use the "New Dumps" section to add everything that you won't find inside our database and the "Verifications" section to add a verification of a game that you can already found in our database.

Thanks for your submissions. I'll add everything soon. If you have other PSP missing games or you're planning to buy something else please let us know smile
Regarding your UCJB-98302 submission it's the only one i can't add it yet, because you've only dumped the game partition (that is matching our dump) but it's still incomplete. The UCJB-98302 demo have two different partitions, one for the games and one for the video on the disc. Please follow this guide to dump it again: http://wiki.redump.org/index.php?title= … ping_Guide
And while doing the ringcodes, can you please check for the Mould SID codes? They're really small but present in all the PSP discs near the metal spindle on the data side.

Everything else you will figure out on your own or with some help if needed, welcome to the staff crew.

Thank you! I'll try to do my best smile

I'd like to request the mod status to help you guys with the pending PSP submissions on the forum. No one is taking care of them, unless someone of us add them with the "new disc" form. It already happened in the past and it's going to happen again in the future, but instead of just submit everything i want to really get my hands dirty and help when i can. And also, this long time to check for the forum stuff it's not helping with the verifications, there's a whole lot of PSP verifications never added, maybe adding them more frequently can be a motivation for other collectors to dump and verify all their stuff. I can understand perfectly that every one of us have a lot of "real life" problems and maybe more important things to do during a single work day, that's why i would like to help you, at least with the PSP, PS1 and PS2 submissions, my favourite systems. I've dumped a lot of games already for these three systems and i guess i should know almost everything about them, i can't be online 24/7 but i'm offering to you my free time because i really want to see this database growing every day. If in doubt, i'm in contact with the other mods so asking for help and learning everything it's not a problem to me.

I got a similar problem with a game, Medal Of Honor Frontline http://redump.org/disc/53375/
The disc is literally LIKE NEW not a single visible scratch no dirt no fingerprints and so on.
I just tried 10 times in a row, the dump always locked at around 50-55% to completion.
I got tired, and hooked it up the kreon drive to the pc again the day after... And it worked at the first try.
It's probably a firmware bug, if you ask me. Just keep trying a lot of times or like yilez said before, buy another copy and maybe it will solve the problem...

The A stands for ATA connection, if you found a SA model you know that stands for SATA connection. Both models of PX-716 works fine anyway. There's a third model that is the PX-716UF that is the portable version with USB and Firewire connection and external power supply, and is working well like the other two version. Don't worry about the letters, just check the right model and you're in smile

With your latest test version now the dump is working and it's 100% identical to the previous dump already in database. Thank you!
