http://redump.org/disc/36178/ This disc is perhaps same.
These discs have only audio track on TOC, but there are actually some data sector in pregap of first sector. When dic searches the offset from disc, it gets the offset from "first data track". So dic can't get it properly. Why wouldn't CD-i adopt the mixed (data - audio) disc?
Please wait until fix.

EDIT:
Updated test version. Please test.

The new test version dumps the disc correctly, thanks!

Jaguar discs are also interesting in terms of offset detection smile

So,
I try to dump a dvd-video "Biohazard 5th Anniversary - Wesker's Report (Japanese)" using a usb drive.
It's my first dump so I don't know what is wrong.
Could you explain if my dump is ok or not? Also could you explain about the options /c and /f in dvd dump?
First I played for couple of minutes with vlc and then use DIC.

Dumped two PS2 DVD demos today and the contents where about half the size of the actual iso, what's going on?

Dummy sectors, I guess.

Please also check by IsoBuster. /c writes the protected sector number to file. /f deletes the drive cache when reads the disc.

Or developer may hide some file intendedly.

So... this is possibly the weirdest issue I've run into so far. With the last few builds, there is a single CD game of mine that will get to about 56000 sectors and then the drive pauses and then reboots. When the drive comes back, it doesn't recognize there's a CD inside anymore.

The reason that I'm even posting this here is that I have NOT had this issue (same drive, for clarity) with either IsoBuster or ImgBurn. I can attach the logs, if those would be helpful, but I was wondering if anybody else ran into this before and if there is any ways to get around this.

Nexy screamed about the similar case from http://forum.redump.org/post/46803/#p46803 to http://forum.redump.org/post/46989/#p46989

Ah interesting. Never ran into this before, so thank you for the second link. I will try the power cycle multiple times and see if that works. I had only let it reset once between attempts.

Another problem (sorry I didn't check entire topic, I may repeated problem already mentioned).

When I use command like:
cd D:
D:\DICnew\DIC.exe cd w GAME 32 /c2 /sf

program crash when "Creating bin, cue and ccd..."

EDIT. Ignore it, works like this nicely:

cd D:
DIC.exe cd w Game\GameDisc 32 /c2 /sf

DIC should work on Sega Lindbergh games? They're DVD...

I found one on eBay for cheap http://www.ebay.com/itm/SEGA-Arcade-LIN … Sw3YNXYtxa

Thinking about buying.

If there isn't any protection, it'll work. Please try and report.

Have you done anything with regard to the above copy protection. I have several Original releases from that publisher, which always seem to use the same protection scheme.

No.

I want more report about this protection.

Been trying to dump the following disc Tomb Raider II - Starring Lara Croft (USA), but been running into the following error messages:

- [ERROR] Number of sector(s) where mode is unknown: 23259
- [ERROR] Number of sector(s) where sync is invalid: 173395
- [ERROR] Number of sector(s) where sync is zero: 12260
- [F:CreateBin][L:1310] GetLastError: 8, Not enough storage is available to process this command.

Drive used was a Plextor PX-755A and tested with DIC 20170818, 20170702, and 20160805, all have been giving me the same problems. Disc looks mint with hardly any scratches at all so I can't figure out what the problem could be.

This most likely means you were low on hard drive space.

I would assume that is what it refers to but there is more than enough space available to dump the disc, the disc is most likely bad as I'm unable to dump it with other software.

I checked idlord's logs and the issue is because subchannels are corrupted.

Listing the different protection schemes for the 8 subcoding channels...
Channel P: no protection, Channel Q: 16-bit CRC, Channels R to W:

[FONT=Arial][SIZE=2][SIZE=2][FONT=Arial][SIZE=2][FONT=Arial]To protect the data in the subcoding channels R to W, a (24, 20) Reed-Solomon error correction code is used. To improve the burst error correction capability, 8 times interleaving is added to this error-correction system. The first two symbols in a PACK have additional protection with a (4, 2) Reed-Solomon error correction code.

Sarami maybe you could take the CRC16 from Sub Q and attempt to detect single bit errors by bit swapping each bit in Sub Q and checking if CRC16 matches (CRC16 could also be corrupted). cdgtool is using such approach to clean the subs for random bit errors. Could you implement this simple algorithm. That could solve issue with such rotting CDs...

Only this disc? or all disc you have? I tried the same option with MegaRace of 3DO but Main channel was shifted correctly with offset.

I'm not the original dumper, I only saw the logs. In idlord's case /s 2 didn't help. In one of the logs you output a table describing TOC with pregap and this table is computed using RMSF in SubQ, yes? The problem with the CD is that RMSF in Q channel is bad but not random. For example at some point (say LBA 90000), RMSF is changed to some low value like 00:24:24 and goes up on each frame. After some sectors it restarts again and goes up.

RMSF goes 1 frame up with each sector (it's good) but the value is shifted and it screwes everything...

Only this particular disc.
