Weird bug in the "swap" mode.

LBA[077399, 0x12e57], MSF[17:13:74], mode 2 Invalid mode: [e2]
SubHeader[1](IsInterleaved[00]), [2](ChannelNum[00]), [3](SubMode[00]), Form 1, [4](CodingInfo[00])
LBA[077400, 0x12e58], MSF[17:14:00], mode 2 Invalid mode: [c2]
SubHeader[1](IsInterleaved[00]), [2](ChannelNum[00]), [3](SubMode[00]), Form 1, [4](CodingInfo[00])
LBA[077401, 0x12e59], MSF[ff:13:8f], bad msf
[ERROR] Number of sector(s) where bad MSF: 1
    Sector: 77401,
[ERROR] Number of sector(s) where mode is invalid: 2
    Sector: 77399, 77400,
Total errors: 3
Total warnings: 0

But, in fact, "mode 2  Invalid mode: [e2]" is the sector 77400; "mode 2  Invalid mode: [c2]" is the sector 77401 and the "MSF[ff:13:8f], bad msf" is probably about the first sector of the lead-out.

Last sector is 77400.

But it seems the subQ of 77401 is not Lead-out.

DIC overreads 1 sector due to this problem.

As I understand from the wiki, there's no way to get these infos (or create an IRD with redump2ird (D1/D2)) with this dumping method, or am I missing something?

Yes, you need to get PS3 drive to get the disc key/id. If you get the drive and 3k3y ripper, you can get these info easily, using my authentication tool. http://forum.redump.org/topic/22897/ps3 … tion-tool/

But it seems the subQ of 77401 is not Lead-out.

But in the swap mode doesn't it build the TOC according to the subs only (since it can't read the actual TOC from lead-in)?

swap mode continues to read until the 1st 0xaa appears. It seems 1st 0xaa is 77402 sector.

Some luck on some more sectors for ASUS BW-16D1HT ?

I tested this drive a bit now, it's not really good at C2 errors, I think it caches and doesn't ever re-read. Could you look into that sarami?

An unlicensed PS2 disc. I'm dumping it multiple times, and sometimes hashes match each other as different sets of matches.

Unlicensed PS2 disc has intentional C2 errors like safedisc. Safedisc has sync + msf + mode but unlicensed PS2 disc hasn't it.

Usually /sf flag works. I've dumped tons of ps2 UNL consistently that way. But this disc keeps producing a handful of hashes, a couple of which keep popping up over and over. These gamepro discs are a little different. Silver bottom and a raised ring in the ringcode area.

If /sf is used, the protection is detected and there are C2 error sectors with invalid sync + msf + mode, then the sync + msf + mode should be generated and the rest replaced with 0x55. The mode should match the rest of the track.

If there is no C2 error on a sector, it should never be modified, also not if /sf is used and a protection is detected.

Just tested out the 0911 build, pretty much every PS2 unlicensed disc I'm dumping is showing different hashes, including past discs that dumped consistently. Definitely recent regression bug.

Define different hashes, different from previous dumps or different from multiple dumps you made.
