What's the likely hood of EAC only being wrong on 1 track?
Sadly it is more than likely, especially for track2 gap detection, sometimes out of 4 drives you get 3 different results!
But you said "I went to 150 sectors and that was the right one", so the pregap should be the common 2.00 one.
You could do as I did with a couple Sega CD games before getting PerfectRip, you can dump track2 in EAC using the "Leave out gaps" option instead of "Append to next track", and then manually adding a 2.00 pregap with psxt001z. Still you have to clearly state in the dumping comments that you dumped track2 that way, so we'll know why an eventual redump won't match (my Sega CD dumps were fine and confirmed by both Themabus and later PerfectRip redumps).
PerfectRip doesn't work on your drive? I discovered that PerfectRip doesn't strictly need a Plextor, it depends on how strange the CD layout is, for example strange Japanese Sega CD discs with absurd offsets require a Plextor, but I can dump standard PC games with my LG drive if they have regular offsets and gaps. Keep in my that PerfectRip doesn't always get track2 pregap always correct either, sometimes I get 0.00 pregap when it's 2.00.
