Thank you very much, wiggy2k, but it hasn't worked.

In IsoBuster you can right-click over the CD, the Session inside, and the Track inside the session. None of them seem to work. Somehow I get like an audio test tool.

Regards

PS. For the wav files, you need to trim 44 bytes from the beginning.

Good afternoon.

I'm trying to convert this translation patch of "Rondo Of Blood" for PC-Engine/Turbografx, only available for .cue+.iso+.wav format to Redump's .cue+.bin format.

https://www.romhacking.net/translations/846/

So, as part of the process I've done:

Redump's dump -> .cue+.iso+.wat -> patching

Now, I need to convert it back to Redump's format again, make the comparison and build the new patch. Any idea how I can do it? I tried using your dumping software with a virtual drive (Daemon Tools) for the patched files but no luck. I receive some error messages (I assume because the software needs a physical drive).

Regards and thanks in advance

PS. I know I don't need to convert it back to Redump's format to play it. It's simply that, tired of being manually patching the games I'm interested in, I've created a script that is able to automatically patch Redump's files.

Yes, I also have the same idea yesterday just before I went to bed. I'll try to check if there are games with the same CRC in the first track but I think I'm going to use the sum of all the CRCs because I want to be sure about the singularity of the key.

Thanks, velocity37. I'll check it this weekend, it will be fast and convenient.

I convert the DAT file to XML using DatUtil because I prefer this format to work on it. CRCs are right but there is a CRC for each track of the original disc. I would like to have just a single key.

Thanks to your post I'm using right now the CRC32 of the first track and everything works fine but I still have to check if there are games with the same CRC32 on that first track. Maybe there are games with the same game code but different audio tracks...

Regards.

Hi

I've been working in a personal project about extra material for games (screenshots, covers*, savegames, etc...) for a while. I store all the extra material renamed to an unique alias for each game extracted from the DAT files. This way I can forget problems related to name changes, this kind of works if done by projects like yours.

For MAME I'm using standard 8 letter alias and for No-Intro games I'm using ROM's CRC32. Unfortunately I've noticed you don't store this kind of information in your DATs. Could you please add this information to the DATs; you already have Disc number id in your online database wich will be perfect; it shouldn't be too difficult (I think) and it will help a lot projects like mine.

Here are some examples of my current progresses (maybe the project will be made public someday but it still needs a lot of work to be done):

Nice to see you here, Eidolon, I've visited your site for a long time.

As F1ReB4LL has said, it doesn't matter how long takes to make perfect dumps since they are forever. Also, perfect means unique images, wich makes possible to start other projects like No-Intro Screenshot Archive ( http://no-intro.dlgsoftware.net/main.php?lang=1 , sorry for the little spam wink ). Without a valid dat, you won't be able to start any massive project ever.

Best regards.

Thanks a lot wink

PD.- Totally offtopic, I think it will be hard to raise my upload ratio if I download demo discs sad.

Hi.

I'd like to check if some dumped games match your database. They have audio tracks as .ape files but in the cuesheet .bin files are indicated. What software should I use to convert the audio tracks?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, then I'll wait until this tool is released to build my own collection of good rips and submit new dumps wink

Hi

I think this is my 9th post here and I haven't introduced myself.

I'm from Spain and I hear about your project at No-Intro official forum. I got interested in your project and after reading the PSX dumping guide I tryed with some of my disc with no luck.

After a period of time, I'm here again and I'm glad to see your psx database has grown a lot. I'd be really interested in getting a full set of PSX games (well, currently not so full since I don't have enough HDD). My main interest is to start collecting psx snapshots and covers for the No-Intro Screenshot Archive ( http://no-intro.dlgsoftware.net ).

I know, and a couple of days ago I did, I can patch wrong psx .bin files to get good ones, but I don't want to disturb a person asking for a patch everytime I want to get a good dumped game. So, here goes my question: Are there any plan of releasing some kind of software for automatic dumping the games? I had problems dumping games with audio tracks sad.

Best regards and thanks in advance wink

Congratulations and thanks for your site. I´m a little bit maniac about perfect dumping so I´ll follow your project.
