231096 - 230946 = 150 = 2sec = pregap. Try to lower it by few hundred sectors. DIC dump is bugged if error range crosses tracks & pregap area...

Jackal said above that you can cut out a track from the .img with a hex editor, do you know how that works?
I used HxD Hex Editor. It's a simple copy & paste app. You don't have to use it anymore (use new CDArchive).
reentrant, would it be possible to specify drive speed in CDArchive? I'm missing 6 sectors right now and although my drive can extract them first try, they don't match EccEdc. Maybe they would if it was reading them at a slower speed?

DIC does not support those discs yet, it will abort reading as soon as protected area is reached.
One could use isobuster and replace those sectors by '0x55' bytes but we have not deceided yet if it should be '0x55's or can be '0x00's for example. If we consider '0x55' bytes then sarami could probably code DIC with that.

DVD's don't have bad sectors (afaik)

DVDs have RSPC code and can contain bad sectors but this has to be done in factory. I don't know if home devices can burn discs with incorrect correction codes...

Backcover does not have a barcode, it must be on the big box, which i don't have.
I don't know how the big box looks like, but i think its the correct one.
Its a german seller, they should sell german version.
One of the sellers from this listing has pictures which match my disc.

They are also inside large exe files IIRC, but the IFPI LL21 are different type than "Unnamed CD.IDX" because you can't dump them in DIC and the last sectors have to be dumped with cdarchive like Ring ProTECH.
Ok. To be recognized these unnamed protection, I'm coding that reads the filename from external text file.
Btw, It seems CD Media World simply calls these unnamed ring protect "Physical Errors".

"D:\!redump\reentranttools\test.bin" needs to point to the bin file that was dumped before where the ring sector was skipped and replaced with 0x55. CDArchive.exe will try to extract all 0x55 sectors from the CD.

Its version doesn't work for me. I don't know why...
I used the 2nd reply version and confirmed my tool and your tool outputted same hash. Total errors of proring are 755.

Did you use cdarchive to read backwards with enough read retries?

How many read retries are required on average?

You could try with a max of 50 retries. Also be sure first to set the read speed to 4x, by starting a dump at 4x and then retrying cdarchive. If it still wont read so many sectors, I guess you have a wrong model.
