You have released the fully updated package finally, including the Unicode release. Many thanks.

I am waiting this disc to correct that entry and to test properly your tool, the DC dumping function. I hope that dumping the high density zone with my PX-W4824TU, my old Samsung 10x CD-RW as trap disc and your tool will be a piece of cake.

A few things I noticed using the latest version:

- Sometimes when starting DIC and the drive is not spinning already I get an error message:

[F:ReadTOCFull][L:274] SCSI bus status codes:02-CHECK_CONDITION
Sense data, Key:Asc:Ascq:06:29:00(UNIT_ATTENTION. POWER ON, RESET, OR BUS DEVICE RESET OCCURRED)

- When dumping to a subfolder, DIC crashes when that subfolder does not exist, instead of creating it or exiting properly if that is not possible. Happens also when using absolute paths.

- When dumping to a subfolder, DIC does not create the .dat file correctly. The file is created, but hashing does not occur. DIC just end without hashing. When dumping to the current folder or an absolute path, hashing works ok.

TheHustle is having a similar issue with his PX-W4824TA in this enclosure: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261352383960

I just tried a PX-W4824TA with this cable: http://www.ebay.com/itm/221041878419 and it works fine..

So I'm wondering if this error is caused by certain types of enclosures? or is it really a windows/software issue?

@sarami: x64 builds are no longer working with the newest version:

32bit still working (although it needs msvcr120.dll now.. can't you compile without this dependancy?)

Mine is actually a TU drive, the same drive in a USB 2.0 enclosure, NEC chipset perhaps. Of course latest official firmware.

And I have absolutely no software which installs filter drivers (lower and upper filters) and no SPTD layer. I am fully against that kind of things, so no CloneCD, Daemon Tools... for me in my main OS (if I eventually need them, I run them from a secondary OS installed into an eSATA hard disk). This very likely has something to do with the 8 KB transfers for USB/IEEE-1394 drives suggestion I suggested a time ago.

PX-755SA via JMB363 (a PCIe card, latest jraid.sys driver) works nicely.

You need to install "Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013" to get it working again. smile

If the cable works and the enclosure doesn't, then it's obviously an issue with the enclosure and not the fault of DIC or windows.

I am pretty sure that it's a fault of DIC handling transfers via USB/IEEE-1394, at least with certain enclosures. CDTool, PerfectRip and the «unnameable» works nicely with my PX-W4824TU, and this drive is just an externalized PX-W4824TA.

Yes, "CATALOG=" entry seems to be a TruRip's invention, .ccd files from CloneCD don't have it.

Please tell me the disc titile and your clonecd's profile when you ripped the disc.
By the way, do you know about "PreGapSubC" in detail?

About "CATALOG=" entry
"CATALOG=" entry is outputted if you checked in "Read SubChannel Data from Audio Tracks".
I merely supported a function of clonecd.

It doesn't matter what disc it is, it always outputs the same thing in DIC.

Mode0 = audio lead in
Mode1 = Mode 1 data
Mode2 = Mode 2 data

And no it doesn't put the catalog when you have Read Audio Subchannels, as this is already contained in the sub channels.
What version of CloneCD do you have? I am using 5.3.1.4 , which is the last one.

I don't know what PreGapSubC means exactly to CloneCD, but it seems to always set it to 1. Perhaps it tells the write routine to reconstruct the TOC subchannels based on the ccd indexes.

Your disc is only 1 data track. But it exists CATALOG Number??
Please tell me both of sub files.

It's doesn't matter whats on a disc, they can have or not have a catalog number. It's a mode 2 subchannel frame, as described in redbook specs. It can either be there or not. I'll upload the subs if you like, but I dump them with subdump and not DIC.

Finally got an USB floppy drive to install Windows Server 2003 _without_ editing the authentic install media and noticed two problems. Floppy drive is USB\VID_0644&PID_0000, TEAC FD-05PUW.

So I have tested the -f option.

-What's the point of specifying a read speed for extracting a raw image from a standard floppy drive? As far I know, there is no such thing as setting the read speed for a floppy drive.

-Autodetected disk format is wrong. discimagecreator thinks that a 1.44 MB floppy is a 1.2 MB floppy. Therefore disk image is truncated.

MediaType: 3.5, 1.2Mb, 512 bytes/sector
            Cylinders: 80
    TracksPerCylinder: 2
      SectorsPerTrack: 15

Roadkil's Disk Image and HxD create the proper image, 1474560 bytes, not 1228800 bytes.

The disk images (simply the 11.2.0.1006 Intel AHCI drivers for the text mode portion of XP/Server 2003 install):
