Re: DiscImageCreator

Just dumped an official Sony "Review Version" CD-R of TOTAL NBA 98 and noticed a warning in terminal:

[WARNING] Number of sector(s) where subheader(0x10 - 0x17) isn't same: 1

What does this mean? Can I still submit it?

Re: DiscImageCreator

Just a non-standard sector, nothing special. I'd say "error count: 1", even if it's just a warning.

Re: DiscImageCreator

Uploaded test version.
- added:

        mds <mdsfile>
                Parse Alchohol 120/52 mds file and output to readable format
        /am     Scan anti mod string
                        For PlayStation

- fixed: audio/data command (didn't work from 2017-12-10)

Re: DiscImageCreator

I'm having troubles with data command in latest git version. DIC seems to get stuck at the very beginning.

Is it possible to introduce another reading mode in which I supply disc offset and drive offset and DIC behaves as in cd mode (dumps multiple tracks) and pads missing data with 0s? I have drives with better error correction and I want to compare resulting dumps (track to track basis). Right now it's real PITA to do it due to offset correction. This feature would really be great. Something like data command but with offset correction and splitting tracks...

I fixed it yesterday.

                Dumping a BD from A to Z

I tested some ps3 disc on ASUS BC-12D2HT and the hash matched.
- improved: PC-FX disc (Super PCEngine Fan Deluxe - Special CD-ROM Vol. 1)

EDIT (2/26)
- fixed: Doesn't check reading lead-in/out when uses audio command.

I don't have this drive, but he reported this drive worked about scrambled and lead-in.

I found the similar drive (ASUS BC-12D2HT).
This can read lead-in (-145 to -1) and read CD by scramble mode.

EDIT (2/27)
- fixed: /am

Re: DiscImageCreator

submitted through new disc form anyway but thought it worth mentioning as i have never (but my experience is very limited)
had a cue with DCP set on just one random track (track 47 below), anyway thought it worth mentioning.

Only 219056 sector is flag on. I think it's random error.

Re: DiscImageCreator

Sarami, could you implement simple inferface for stuff like this:

        ULONG start = 35000;
        ULONG end = 45000;

        while (nFirstLBA < nLastLBA) {
            BOOL bProcessRet = FALSE;

            if(nLBA >= start && nLBA <= end) {
                bProcessRet = TRUE;
            } else {
                bProcessRet = ProcessReadCD(pExecType, pExtArg, pDevice, pDisc, pDiscPerSector, lpCmd, nLBA);
            }

In some cases it's really needed to skip specific range because it errors out on one of my drives. Could you add some command line switch for this?

I've tried to dump this PS1 game called Formula GP SLES-03994 http://redump.org/disc/18346/ without any success. With the 20180127 and the 20180301 test version the result is the same. I have a PX-716SA drive. You can see some screenshot below:

Re: DiscImageCreator

Have you thought about comparing gaps/tracks_sizes detected by Q-channel (like now) vs detected by P-channel? If they differ, you could additionally generate "dump.p.cue" (with the additional set of tracks split according to the differently detected gaps) and "dump_img.p.cue".

Re: DiscImageCreator

I have never thought about that and I know little how to use the p-channel...

Re: DiscImageCreator

Main track part is padded with 0x00, gaps are padded with 0xFF, nothing special. Gaps padding is shifted by 1 sector, btw, so, the first sector of the gap is padded with 0x00, the 2nd sector of the gap is padded with 0xFF, the first sector of the track after the gap is padded with 0xFF, the next sector is padded with 0x00.

Updated. Plz test.

Path table is irregular. (L type and M type is perhaps the reverse.)

Well, they aren't rare. Various Saturn titles come to mind.
