And have you tried your Plextor again with the "/s 0" option recommended above?
Yes, and there is no difference.

Yes, and there is no difference.
Why not to let the user decide?
http://www.mediafire.com/file/eq80y20l9 … or_test.7z
fixed: user can decide it.
At least the subs obviously differ between 0xbe and 0xd8 modes.
What's different concretely? I'm thinking 0xbe subch:0x04(a.k.a pack) vs. 0xd8 subch:0x02 is same except a random error and 0xbe subch:0x01(a.k.a raw) vs. 0xd8 subch:0x08 is same except a random error.
I tried DcDumper for the first time using TS-H353A. (Test: Puyo Puyoon)

Continued to read error. In dic, the error frequently occurs in these sector.
I tried with 2 games "Sangokushi VI" and "Candy Stripe" and with none managed to pass of the sector 46000.
The same discs with the same unit and using dcdumper: PERFECT DUMP at the first try.
I can understand if the results are same, but I can't understand why you use the same drive but the results are different.
What's different concretely? I'm thinking 0xbe subch:0x04(a.k.a pack) vs. 0xd8 subch:0x02 is same except a random error and 0xbe subch:0x01(a.k.a raw) vs. 0xd8 subch:0x08 is same except a random error.
1) CD+G subs are completely different if dumped in 0xD8 mode (R-W channels are in some weird format in this case and the data is unusable).
2) If I've understood Jackal correctly, Securom sectors are replaced with the neighbour (twin) sectors if dumped in 0xD8 mode. Doesn't affect Libcrypt sectors as far as I know.
cherokeelzzS reported me about 2 Saturn discs undumpable with DIC.
Saturn Super Vol. 8 (Japan) says this:
And Digital Pinball - Necronomicon Revelations (Japan) (Sample) reports about insufficient memory (the logs are weird, DIC has probably misdetected the subs/TOC desync).
The error of the last two sections is a "common" issue with dcdumper.
You have to delete the previous section (47) and, normally, in the next try, the 2 last sections (48 and 49) are dumped.
Anyway I recommend you to change the options a bit in the dcdumper.
In my case it is better to use fewer sections of larger size and fewer passes.
I have used: -i56018 -p4
This make 9 sections of aprox 125 MB and in 4 passes.
But that is another subject.
Today I tried again with DIC, and the errors come again.
It starts to dump and after a while it stops showing:

I don't know why errors occurs using DIC and the H353A.
But with dcdumper can read to the end, using the same discs in the same unit.
I've dumped the same disc in the SHD162C using dcdumper and the result is exact the same that in the H353A.
If I can help you in any way, tell me.
If you can understand my English
cherokeelzzS reported me about 2 Saturn discs undumpable with DIC.
I contacted directly.
1) CD+G subs are completely different if dumped in 0xD8 mode (R-W channels are in some weird format in this case and the data is unusable).
subdump is obviously same format in mode 1, 2 and 6. mode 5 is obviously different format. mode 1, 2, 6 is raw sub, mode 5 is pack sub. This is same too in dic.
I think the pack mode is generally used to create the cdg file (2448byte, main+sub) of CDRWIN, perfectrip, not the sub file.
The error of the last two sections is a "common" issue with dcdumper.
You have to delete the previous section (47) and, normally, in the next try, the 2 last sections (48 and 49) are dumped.
Anyway I recommend you to change the options a bit in the dcdumper.

I have used: -i56018 -p4

Thanks, it worked with this option.

Creating dense.bin: Done. Pass this to ice.exe
And this Behavior was hint for me. Fortunately, the src exists in dcdumper, so I could add the reread algorism in dic.
I tested my dc disc 3 times and succeeded all.
please put a option to disable the beep beep beep when the program finish !!!
Added /q option.
Gives lots of errors !
It seems that TS-H353A doesn't support /c2.
/s0
/s 0 is correct. needs space between "s" and "0"

subdump is obviously same format in mode 1, 2 and 6. mode 5 is obviously different format. mode 1, 2, 6 is raw sub, mode 5 is pack sub. This is same too in dic.
Packed sub for Plextor should match the raw sub, but without errors, but mode 5 dumps are completely different.
http://redump.org/disc/41421/ -- it seems my copy has a 1-sector subchannels offset, but DIC detects it as Sub/TOC desync and incorrectly fixes the gaps.
jhmiller wrote:The error of the last two sections is a "common" issue with dcdumper.
Thanks, it worked with this option.
However you have to be careful because the dcdumper can create corrupt dumps.
In the txt created by ice, if at the end of the track line there are parentheses with numbers, that track has errors.
This is OK:
---------------------------------
03 Mode1 45000 549149 504150 ok
---------------------------------
And this is BAD
---------------------------------
03 Mode1 45000 549149 504150 ok (1)
---------------------------------
EXCEPT for the last track of a game with audio tracks.
In that case the last track show "(75)" and is a correct dump:
25 Audio 231300 254022 22723 ok
26 Audio 254023 262649 8627 ok
27 Mode1 262650 549149 286500 ok (75)
---------------------------------
With this version I can dumped the discs to the end !!!

But when comparing the 2 "Track 3.bin", I found differences.
Today I'll do more dumps and tests
How about the other sub (subdump, clonecd, perfectrip etc.)? I have the disc that ADR of 1st sector is 3(ISRC) and confirmed that sub offset is injustice.

it seems my copy has a 1-sector subchannels offset, but DIC detects it as Sub/TOC desync and incorrectly fixes the gaps.
I've done more dumps, and I've found differences in all of them.
The first dump does not match the second in any case.
My disc succeeds all and binary matches... As possibility, dic may be writing a overlapped data. Could you upload the log?
I've upload 2 zips with the files from dump1 and dump2 of one of my test:
First dump: https://mega.nz/#!FZN3mBxS!3d_PW9bSn7r- … Mx1jo0wxzY
Second dump: https://mega.nz/#!EVM2kYQb!W_54HIwC6bzN … yMxalBne3A
I've included all the files except the *.scm2, *.img2 and the Track.bin.
If you want these files, tell me.

Have you byte-compared the dumps to find out what's exactly different there?
And have you tried to dump something that is already in the database to see, if DIC always gives a bad dump, or if it gives good dumps as well?
sarami wrote:I have the disc that ADR of 1st sector is 3(ISRC) and confirmed that sub offset is injustice.
F1ReB4LL wrote:it seems my copy has a 1-sector subchannels offset, but DIC detects it as Sub/TOC desync and incorrectly fixes the gaps.
Works, thanks.
But there's another weird problem. When I dump it without the "/a xx" command, it's fine. When I dump it with "/a 14", it detects the offset 2 times and dumps it incorrectly.

Look the attached file to see a very little part of the differences.
And yes, I tried with games already in the db and in no case the dumps make with DIC coincided with the db.
In games with audio tracks, some audio tracks matched and the others no. And the data tracks never matched.
The problem is probably this.

There is always sync+msf+mode byte in a data sector, but they don't exist in upper sector. I don't know why now. It is regrettable that this drive can't check the C2 error... Anyway, fixed below.
