I disagree The thing is that some games could be of different versions, also have some different audio track hashes, and if you dump the cd not completely, it could be that your damaged tracks differs from the other discs and you would not notice it !
It's a pity, because I have some damaged discs in my own too (some of them just the last track), but they must be in a good condition to add them to the database. We want to have clean system/db, and it is more important than quick dump collecting.
Moreover, I am also one of few German guys and will get some more other German games in next time, so don't worry about it
If they have German or French or etc. they should be titled as on the cover in specified Language.
But should the title be added with wrong title, mods will change it

Do you mean cartridges?
We don't really wont to have the old "Floppy Disc Times" back, to have 100s of discs for one simple game !
Well, I see, you will also separate different media types.
If there are no combined media, then I would also welcome your idea too, also CD / DVD / BD / etc.
Nevertheless, this is no real reason!? We everybody are also no twins too
But seriously, if there should be later "Media Description Files" for DVD-9 or BLU-RAY dumps (I do not mean MDS files),
would you want to separate them then also from DVD-5?
Yes, I have still never seen such a thing too, but who knows maybe there are such exotic games?
But, what's the reason to split CD and DVD in two dats?

It works pretty, ALL checksums match

That's fair !!!

have you patented it? :D:D

that's enough m8
OmniouS wrote:The button that says 'Start Comprasion' - should that be 'Start Compression'?
I saw that too, but...he can fix it in his final version
OmniouS wrote:If you take a file/files out of the directory that the program hasnt compressed yet, it makes a 32kb 7z file for each one
yeah, the loop function should be fixed...
great
just one thing, I believe current settings in your tool let 7z compress images as solid archive ?!
that could be a problem if you will rename file names later after compression if the db name changes !?
what do you think?
Vigi wrote:Maybe it's best to always use the serial on the label of the disc, and to list multiple serials in case several editions have the same checksums. And only list version numbers for different serial games in the database, not add them to the filename in the dat.
that is it what I have tried to say !
Vigi wrote:Anyway, I'm not gonna interfere with this. If anyone is gonna change stuff from now on, please make sure Dremora is aware of it, so that at least there's some sense in what's happening and more than 1 people are aware of the changes that are made.
agreed !
well, this is just the shit about I talk here all the time, but nobody listen to me...
if somebody volunteers, I would make compression attempts with you, it simply saves an amount HDD space
please discusses it here further!
I think the Japanese are to lazy to change Serial EXE, or they simply copy originals without some changes
(should only be a joke, don't take it seriously)
BadSector wrote:when they changed, i should have been removed from the list
i've same opinion, great thought BadSector ))
And what's if the game contains several Discs and they are of different format CD/DVD ?
Then they shall not be found any more in the same DAT !?
not that I squander ps2gamer2k7
you have just to use psxt001z --track function to find offset, and than you can use this in EAC to extract all other tracks.
but the problem is just, sometimes offset is different for some tracks, gaps are rare, gaps includes garbage,
or the fact that worst ones is, that tracks could be cut off (often track2 or last track) !
Please use the search function
What do you want use it for? Single pack or multi pack?
please read dumping guide to understand it better, thats not P2P file sharing site !!!
The last checksums for Kingdom Hearts (U) [SLUS-20370] were:
md5: cff622681e7d5bb95f6d02ef01b8eded
crc: 0cf8c6de
so no match (
Do u know what compression parameters 7z uses by default ? ultra ?
And which parameters have u given in ur last tool ?
The file above is not compressed with ur tool, so decompress and compress it again for right checksums.
P.S. if u check the Paradox DB file, u will see that the strings are decrypted and so u can see a path (line 93) to ur project files
I have accepted that this tool of made by You ))
here are the checksums for Dino Crisis (Demo) (U)
md5 2803910e78ef19f3d947dfec48c6c74c
crc 88087b5a
P.S. before u compress bin file rename it to iso, but maybe this vb tool is written by u (?) and u know it already ))
We dont need to take any PS2 game, something else should work too, PSX game of a small size should be ok !
Dino Crisis (Demo) (U) is really small, take that for comparison test ! Transfer patch can be found on the master list for PSX games !
P.S. is khurrum ur user name on ur machine? ))
BadSector is any other ps2 game in Your own? 2gb image took really long to compress.
