I don't understand why 00:00:00 to 00:00:04 should be read. 00:00:00 to 00:00:04 also has offset 3540?

Nope, my question was if you mean LBA 0 = 00:02:00 or LBA 0 = 00:00:00.

But sometimes the desync is in the pregap. For example, on +588 and +1176 US-mastered Saturn discs there are duped sectors in pregap, 00:00:00 has the offset +0 for these discs, so it is important to check the pregap sectors.

I moved the scrambled sector to _maininfo.txt
LBA 0 to 4 has offset 3540 and LBA 6 to 10 has offset 3652.

Do you mean 00:02:00 to 00:02:04 and not 00:00:00 to 00:00:04 in pregap? But that means sector 5 is of incorrect length and the descrambling should be stopped, like http://redump.org/disc/39378/ or http://redump.org/disc/34036/ ? We only ignore such issues for the first pregap (sectors -150 to -1) - Gulf War and Lip 3 cases - when the redump image itself has a constant sector length and a constant offset.

But how to understand which area (or which sector?) has the offset 3540 and which one has the offset 3652?

There is a different combined offset

3540 or 3652? Does it mean there is a sector with incorrect length somewhere? I've thought we decided to stop the descrambling in such cases?

I think I'll pass, if no one is going to define rules that universally apply, I'm not going to waste my money to see the category get nuked over a change of heart.

Why should we nuke them? iKTV and Kiss-Site have their own sections already, while CD+Gs belong to the Audio CD section due to their nature (and it's probably not the best idea to throw hundreds of karaoke discs there).

Ehh. CD+G discs are normal Audio CDs and fall under the same rules, but we need a way to either attach a subchannel file or, at least, its checksum into the dat.
iKTV and Kiss-Site need some additional examination about whether they only play Video CDs or have some basic interactivity as well.
Anyway, iKTV and Kiss-Site can be locked within their own sections, since they don't have too many releases.

Something weird for http://redump.org/disc/72268/ misdetects track 14 as audio and toc/sub desync for tracks 13 and 14, t..p dumps it properly (no "audio" and no desync).

PCSX2 always had huge problems with CD-based games, so it's better to report on their forum, it isn't dump-related.

No ingame differences, it's just different copies of the game have audio data shifted differently. The ones with ingame differences are revisions (Rev A/Rev B/Rev C, etc.).
