I was looking at the database and it look very inconsistent with the naming of japanese games.

Japanese games usualy can by named in 3 way:

1. Original title in Kanji, Hiragana and/or Katakana
2. Original title romanized (rōmaji)
3. English title

For exemple the japanese version of Zelda: Wind Waker would be:

1. ゼルダの伝説 風のタクト
2. Zeruda no Densetsu: Kaze no Takuto
3. The Legend of Zelda: Takt of Wind

The alternative title always look to be the title in Japanese. But the main title is sometimes the romanized one while for other games it's the english title.

Some games even mix the romanized form with the English one!!

I think a standard need to be set: either use the romanized form or the engligh title.

What you think about it?

I personally think we should always use the romanized form. Since not all games have an English title shown in their Japanese version.

hi, darthcloud
as i remember it, it was decided not to romanize when Japanese title is based on foreign term
(there was discussion somewhere in Fixes section, probably should still be there)
for example romanizing Final Fantasy to Fainaru Fantajī wouldn't  make much sense
likely the same with Zeruda - Zelda (could be term "Zelda" is used inside game universe), not sure about the rest, though

I think the「三国志」,  「Romance of the Three Kingdoms」, and「Sangokushi」,  even 「San Guo Zhi」,  「三國志」is a interesting  topic, too.

And the related games are more than the other Specific series.
