* Support SATA drives
* Support multisession
* Support BIN/CUE images

Numerous programs I've tried fail to include at least one of the above.  CDRWin doesn't want to use my SATA drive for burning, ImgBurn astonishingly enough can't do multiple sessions at all, CDBurnerXP only supports the ISO format, Nero 10 can't multisession etc etc etc.

I'm thinking mainly GUI-based programs here.  If it helps I'm using XP SP3 32-bit.  Thanks.

If your using XPSP3 32bit, then use CloneCD.

Does it give you the option to open a new session after burning a CD image?  In fact, does it support BIN/CUE?

Yes, and Yes.

Erm, no it doesn't.  On either count.

I'm not sure what CloneCD you're thinking of, but if you were referring to SlySoft's program then I've tried that and it doesn't have any multisession options or support for BIN/CUE, only CCD/IMG/SUB.

Gonna try and see if Alcohol is any better...

Nero 10 can't multisession

Are you sure? I have nero 9 and it's perfect for multisession! But Nero seems to have a problem with cue files from redump... sad

It would help if you told us what exaxtly is it that you want to do. Burn multiple redump images in DVDs?

It's in relation to Dreamcast stuff.  Any CDs for that platform need to have two sessions to perform correctly.

I was looking at Bleemcast in particular, where an emulator and game can co-exist on the same disc if you burn a PSX image first, leave an open session on it, and then burn the other session (with the Bleemcast binary) on it.

For the record, I tried Alcohol and that seems to do the trick. smile  It may be naff when it comes to dumping CDs with pregap data in them but then I can just see this as a good burning tool instead.  Of course, if there *are* any other programs out there which do the same thing, then it'd be interesting to know just in case any prove that Alcohol isn't all that important for anything at all.  Thanks!

As for Nero, sure, it can multisession, but only with new discs you make/burn yourself, not with existing images.

did you try DiscJuggler for dreamcast backups?

why do you ask this question @ redump forum and not at a dreamcast community?

it's simple to use a tool like ultraiso to convert bin/cue to clonecd, and clonecd supports multisessions in it's own format... BIN/CUE does not support multisessions at all, so I don't know about what your doing.

And yeah, you should ask on a dreamcast forum about burning such things, or CDFreaks.
