Hi,
my image of SimCity 2000: Special Edition is 224458416 bytes, not 24696000. All checksums match, so I think my size is correct.

Edit: I also think the Net Yaroze entries (here and here) look a bit ugly; shouldn't their subtitle be in parentheses? They also have a strange capitalization, IMHO they should look more like "Net Yaroze (Boot Disc)" and "Net Yaroze (Software Development Disc)". Or am I missing an important reason here? smile

Also the filename for my dump of Der Planer & Der Planer Extra should be "Planer, Der & Der Planer Extra" (or "Planer, Der & Planer Extra, Der"?) instead of "Planer & Der Planer Extra, Der" since the '&' separates two independent titles here.

FIFA 99: Spiel Nr. 2 von 4: FC Bayern: Manchester has a slightly misleading title. "Manchester" is not a subtitle of "FC Bayern" like the ':' suggests. It should be "FIFA 99: Spiel Nr. 2 von 4: FC Bayern - Manchester", either with a normal hyphen or, even better, with a dash: "FIFA 99: Spiel Nr. 2 von 4: FC Bayern – Manchester".

Hi,

The Net Yaroze titles come straight from the disc and manuals, so they are good that way.

About FIFA: The db automatically converts '-' to ':', so there's nothing we can do about that, unless you have a better title. The datfile has it as '-' so should be good there I guess.

And the rest is fixed hopefully

Um, okay. But I'm still not convinced. How are these discs' titles different from those of other games? As far as I can tell, this is the only occurrence in the DB where a disc title isn't put between parentheses.

As for the capitalization, there are probably dozens of examples in the DB where the game capitalization is overridden for the sake of DB consistency. Most notably all the capitalized romaji in subtitles of Japanese games, which aren't capitalized in the main title (like here, here or here, for example). So I think games' titles have always been modified to fit consistently into the DB, with their original title being kept in the subtitle. That's what I think you should do here. Make it "Net Yaroze (Boot Disc)" in the main title and "Net Yaroze boot disc" in the subtitle.

Okay. Have you also tried it with a dash? That's a slightly longer line ( – ), and since it's a completely different character it's possible that the auto conversion doesn't apply there. Plus, it's even more correct to use the dash instead of a hyphen for sports matches smile
