Same game, different naming?
The Title should be either
a) "Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil" meaning is the remake of Resident Evil (1), released under the "Resident Evil Archives" series title. See cover.
b) "Resident Evil" as if Archives is just some sort of banner not intended for the title. See spine, title screen.

I don't believe there will be any:

Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil 3
Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil CV
Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil 0 (will be/is released in Jap only as Biohazard 0)
Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil 4 (is already available as RE4, and the rest is way to old and not as spectacular as RE1 to be re-released again)

Some sources promise a Resident Evil Archives "series", but they will never be released.

It has annunced to be released in US within the end of the year, maybe it could not be but nobody can say. Ex Okami was not scheduled for Japan, but now it has a release date in october.
