I have two versions of Serious Sam: 1st Encounter (US + EU) and checked both for protection:
EU version is CopyLok copy protected, but US is DONT protected.

Severance is really SecuROM copy protected, sorry!!!
But it runs from the CD-R surprisingly

Ahhhhhhhhh.... you mean EU version of Serious SAM, has now understood only, US is already added
