How do i go about fixing bad ReDump data?  (small things to big things).

How do i create a ReDump entry where one does not seem to exist in the index?

Of all the many "tools" i already use some, i use ImgBurn & HxD for 99.9% of everything i do, but what's better for ReDump specifically for PS2 games, for PS1 games, and (much much later) for PC games?  What tool gives multi-track MD5s ???

Thanks in advance!

If you have fixes to any entry in the database, make a new topic in: http://forum.redump.org/forum/4/fixes-additions/ and then some moderator will add your fixes.

When you have a new entry to the DataBase you can add the data directly by yourself (but it has to be aproved by a mod before you see it in the database...) but to do this you must have Dumper sattus... For now post your dumping data in: http://forum.redump.org/forum/11/dumps/

For discs without audio tracks (almost every PS2 game and lots of PC and PS1 discs) just extract the track with IsoBuster.
To gather the hashes (size, crc, md5 and sha1) please use Clrmamepro's Dir2dat function.
Please check the guides: http://redump.org/guide/

If you have any doubt feel free to ask.

And remenber: only dumps from ORIGINAL media are accepted here in redump!

Thanks for that, i tried CLRMamePro and i honestly could not tell what it is used for here, i looks like a ROM librarian program, but i will follow that link and see how we get it to do something with my PS1 multi-track .BIN files.  Obtw, i trust i have only "original" discs in my game collection, but that's why i'm here checking MD5s in the first place.  wink

Update:  Umm, i'm back, i see good stuff at that link, but no tutorial on using CLRMamePro's Dir2dat function, i get stuck on "Profiles" which seem to require ROM files not BIN files...?

You can download .sfv and .md5 files from the DB to verify your dumps. Multipar accepts both.

Put all the extracted tracks in a folder. Run Clrmamepro then select the "Dir2dat" box then uncheck all the boxes except the ADD MD5 and ADD SHA1 ones. Then chosse the Source-folder (the folder where you have the tracks and write a name for the .dat then click in Create. That's it...

Well, here's my problem, ImgBurn extracts one .BIN file per game disc, what tool are you'all using to get each track extracted to separate files and MD5s calculated for them, i assume this is one program and in one pass?

PC, PS1, & PS2 games - many many many.

IsoBuster for data track and EAC for audio tracks, ripping to headerless format, appending gaps to next track and the proper combined read offset correction for each disc/drive combination.

For CDs with one data track (no audio tracks at all) ImgBurn can be suitable, as long as you choose .bin (2352 bytes/sector) output, not .iso (2048 bytes/sector).
