The database names for the US Playstation Underground Demo disks (the set starting here: http://redump.org/disc/12706/ ) are technically incorrect and use a naming pattern ('Volume 1 Issue 1') that was really only used on 3 out of 16 of the PS1 Underground box sets. The first 4 issues are especially different than the database so I thought it might be good to add the correct names as alternates for those.

The 16 Underground box sets are actually named:
Number 1
Number 2
Number 3
Number 4
Volume 2 Issue 1
Volume 2 Issue 2
Volume 2.3
Volume 2 Issue 4
3.1
3.2
3.3
3.4
4.1
4.2
4.3
4.4

Actually, Volume 2 Issue 2's box says 2.2 right on the front. Some say Version x.y, some say Volume x.y, and some just say x.y.

I explained in my original post that I simplified the naming due to it being a mess. The naming scheme of the Interactive Sampler packs are also simplified in the database, as their exact names vary from disc to disc.

It would be a good idea to add alternate titles, though.

velocity37, please provide the names as they are on the disc/cover.. we prefer accurate titles over simplified ones wink

Alternative titles are for when the same disc was released under different names.. here it's clear that there's only 1 correct name.

You never said anything in my original post that you replied to  roll

Anyways, here's some additional info:

http://redump.org/disc/12712/ and http://redump.org/disc/12713/ - Also says "3-D HOLIDAY ISSUE" on cover.
http://redump.org/disc/12716/ and http://redump.org/disc/12717/ - Also says "2.2" on cover.
http://redump.org/disc/12718/ and http://redump.org/disc/12719/ - Says "Vol 2.3" on spine, "Volume 2.3" on discs, but just "2.3" on cover
http://redump.org/disc/12720/ and http://redump.org/disc/12721/ - Says "Vol. 2 Iss. 4" on spine, "V2.4" on Cover
http://redump.org/disc/12726/ and http://redump.org/disc/12727/ - Says "3.3" on spine, but "CD MAGAZINE Volume 3 Issue 3" on cover
http://redump.org/disc/12728/ and http://redump.org/disc/12729/ - Spine says "3.4", cover says "3.4" but also has "CD MAGAZINE" vertically next to it, and inside manual says "ISSUE 3.4"
http://redump.org/disc/12730/ and http://redump.org/disc/12731/ - Spine and discs say "VERSION 4.1"
http://redump.org/disc/12736/ - Spine and discs say "CD MAG 4.4"

In the case of the sampler packs, all the names in the DB come from the SonyIndex. I've provided the actual titles per disc and said so in the comments, but I think for Vol. 3 it may have been discarded.

Where did you provide them? I'm sorry if I didn't see them.

I try not to think too much about naming conventions used on Redump because it usually makes my head hurt tongue , but Velocity is certainly correct that the names printed on the underground disk sets are a mess.

Most of the disks just have the Underground logo and then say 'Disc 1' or 'Disc 2' without any reference to which issue they're from, so you can't really call them by the disk-cover name.

I personally think 'Volume # Issue #' is fine except for the first four, because it's easy to mistake 'Underground #4' as being part of the 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4 series etc.

When I started dumping them, I noticed that the existing entries in the database were using the SonyIndex titles. When submitting I've put the title as it appears on the disc as the alternate title and written in the comment box "Alternate title is as appears on disc".

I don't have #2 handy (somewhere in my games stack, I'll look for it), but the literal titles are:
http://redump.org/disc/12312/ - Interactive CD Sampler Pack Volume Three
http://redump.org/disc/10855/ - Interactive CD Sampler Pack Volume Three (Version 3.5) [sticker on sleeve says Version 3.5, disc itself is identical to normal Volume Three]
http://redump.org/disc/14036/ - Interactive CD Sampler Disc (6) [Underlined 6 in a circle]
http://redump.org/disc/10603/ - Interactive CD Sampler Disc Volume 8
http://redump.org/disc/7742/ - Interactive CD Sampler Disc Vol. 9 [Haven't gotten around to verifying this one]

Also, again HwitVlf I would like to thank you. You have made me realize I have all three variants of the 3rd Interactive Sampler pack (of which I have only dumped+submitted two) smile

Thanks.. hopefully everything's fixed now
