Hey guys.  I was going over my PS1 collection to check if anything needed to be updated and noticed that some games are no longer on the database here and I was wondering why?

The USA games I noticed missing so far are:

International Track & Field  http://redump.org/disc/6654/
Irritating Stick  http://redump.org/disc/6640/
Jumping Flash! 2 Big Trouble in Little Muu  http://redump.org/disc/6655/

Now the pages just say "Disc with ID "insert_number_here" doesn't exist."

I know they were there before because I collected them and created URL shortcuts to them as soon as they were posted (like I do with all the games).  I don't know what else is missing right now since I don't really have the time to look (I stopped an letter "J").  The current datfile doesn't list them either, but maybe someone has an old datfile and can verify this.

Were they bad dumps?  Or did something go wrong with the database?

The dumps I listed above were posted sometime between April 5 and April 15 of this year AFAIK, if that helps any.

I'll get back when I have time.

I have noticed it too.

These are the additional ones I have noticed that are missing.

Konami Arcade Classics (U) [SLUS-00945]
Mr. Driller (U) [SLUS-01111]
Power Move Pro Wrestling (U) [SLUS-00408]
Silent Bomber (U) [SLUS-00902]
Trap Gunner (U) [SLUS-00679]

The dat that I have from the 29th May does recogise them. So they have disappeared since then.

I count that I have 38 unrecognised .cue files (37 Asia, 1 US for dumps I don't have). But the question is how many of them are as a result of renaming.

If they were pnz's dumps, they were temporary removed/hidden

Edit:

Here is the games which were hidden for now:

except for the 4 titles he did verifies

PX-760A (+30), PX-W4824TA (+98), GSA-H42L (+667), GDR-8164B (+102), SH-D162D (+6), SOHD-167T (+12)

I think you are right. A lot of my unrecognised .cue files are on that list.

What was wrong with pnz's dumps to begin with? Just curious.

there were many different things:

- and more about his "dumps" was discussed in IRC as well

PX-760A (+30), PX-W4824TA (+98), GSA-H42L (+667), GDR-8164B (+102), SH-D162D (+6), SOHD-167T (+12)

Oh wow I must have missed those talks in the IRC. That is suspicious and completely goes against what this project is trying to accomplish. It makes you wonder what else is wrong with some dumps in the database.

If these dumps are obtained from non-original media - then there must be a certain way we can detect these aside from relying on multiple user submissions? Maybe by also submitting raw sector information at known parts of the image where it can be detected? Just an idea...

Oh, and yes I'm back again after a few months away. big_smile

Idle Dumper
Drives: LG GSA-H55N (+102 & Overread), BTC USB CDRW (+6)

Yes, http://forum.redump.org/post/18689/#p18689

So... someone added a dump of a psx original but with some extras (trainer and pal/ntsc selector)? smile just kidding
Dumping is so time consuming... i don't understand why people waste their time submitting bad info...
