Cuesheet: row 11, error 11
I think that the huge pre-gap is the problem.

someone should check the sub pregap of track03, if pnkiller78 would upload it smile

pnkiller78, isn't track04 protected with unreadable data?

What tool do you recommend for extracting sub? CloneCD, Alcohol, PerfectRip?
Track 4 was dumped with PerfectRip...

Are you sure PerfectRip created this image without errors? Such PC CDs (Data + Audio + Audio + Data) are in most cases protected with unreadable data in Track04 also the 2nd Data Track. You can dump it again in PR, you will see that PR will finish reading it, but with a warning "dump was not successful"

Please dump it again, but in CCD-read-mode (it will create SUB file), and set read speed to 1x

and here are the subs

The disk is a little bit scrached but with other drives, the track 2 doesn't give any problems in EAC.

Perhaps I should try dumping my copy soon to see if I get any similar results.

7 (edited by Haldrie 2009-03-26 04:53:35)

Wow I can't believe no one has made any progress with this. I finally pulled out my copy of Tomb Raider III and my disc has the same ring as the one mentioned here. I managed to get a perfect copy dumped (it mounts in Daemon Tools too) and the pregap I got for track 3 is 16:13:13 with a 3 second pregap on track 4. Right now I'm about to verify this dump by dumping it again on another drive and seeing if it matches.

Oh and after looking up at the previous posts here I guess I should mentions a few other things. I used EAC to dump the audio tracks and Track 4 is completely readable. It only seems to have information about the ISO and Joliet file systems as well as the disc name which is the same as Track 1 but there is no file info and the rest of the data after that is all zeroes in the user data area (at least from what I can tell).

[EDIT]
Ok now I see what you were having problems with as far as a cuesheet error. I just got the same one while trying to add my dump. I'll PM Dremora and see if he can fix it.

Gimme the subs, the link below is dead.

Ok I decided to do another dump of this using CDRWin and the cuesheet it makes looks like this:

FILE "C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\OWNER\DESKTOP\TR3.BIN" BINARY
  TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
  TRACK 02 AUDIO

  TRACK 03 AUDIO

  TRACK 04 MODE1/2352
    PREGAP 00:03:00
    INDEX 01 75:53:00

As you can see unlike PSX games, where the gaps are listed as indexes, this disc actually has them marked as pregaps with the exception of track 3. Not sure how this will effect anything but I just thought I would bring this up.

Ok ok I'll dump the game a few times and upload the subs for you.

[EDIT]
Ok I dumped my copy 3 times at the slowest speed using CloneCD and here is the links to all 3 subs.

[EDIT2]
Ok I was wrong about my ring being the same as the one posted above here is the ring from my copy.

Well that's the same cue I got from EAC. I wonder why CDRWin showed something different. Anyway I've yet to get a reply from Dremora about fixing the cuesheet parser to allow that cue data so I don't know if it's really been fixed or not. I've been ready to post it for the last couple of days now.

Wow, I tough this one was dead, I've been away for almost 2 month, I sold my computer and almost have no time to read or post while in work. I will try to get connected again to all this when I get a new computer, hope it will be this month smile

After talking 1 on 1 with Dremora in the IRC we have now fixed the cueparser to allow the large pregap seen in this discs and I have managed to post the dump of my copy of this game.

http://redump.org/disc/6584/

The date for the TOMB3.EXE file on my disc (as well as a small portion of files in the root) is 1998-12-02.

Maybe you should add your serial to distinguish between the two disc.

Where did you find the serial number at?

It's the volume serial number.. if you do 'dir' on the CD in command prompt you will see it mentioned there.

ps. there's a difference of 2 seconds between the last data track of both dumps (and between the total amount of sectors of all tracks).. I think one of the dumps has a last track with the wrong pregap? Meaning track 3 and 4 should have the same checksums for both dumps.. maybe redump with perfectrip?

I've checked mine and the total number of blocks listed in ISOBuster match the number of sectors for all tracks that I posted. Also are you sure that the volume serial will match over different discs with the same data? Isn't this serial unique to each discs?

I checked, the sizes are correct.

Hmm ok, I guess it's alright then.

The volume serial number only looks at the filesystem, so if the data track's the same then so is the serial.
