Also, http://redump.org/disc/113262/ and http://redump.org/disc/71801/ actually have the same DLC, only the title update differ (I do not know if it is required to play the DLC)

There were 4 versions of the DLC : USA (+ Asia), Japan, Eastern Europe and main PAL. http://redump.org/disc/36105/ and http://redump.org/disc/72633/ got the same package, which contained the 5 languages.

So while I can't test the actual in game behavior/languages, could someone add to the comments of http://redump.org/disc/113262/ that it has the same DLC content as http://redump.org/disc/71801/, and vice-versa ?

I think that the best way to represent "Europe + USA + Brazil" is "Europe + USA" instead of "World"

http://redump.org/disc/38465/ This disc already lists only English for the arcade versions, are you sure the arcade version in all 4 support all languages?

I checked and Doom/Doom II XBLA support English/Spanish/French as well. German, Italian, and Japanese don't appear to be supported, at least with the US disc.

OK, so I tested again on Xenia, and I can have Doom I and II play on all 6 languages from the US dump of Doom III BFG.

However, the way these works is convoluted. It's basically launching a game (So Doom I or Doom II) from another game (Doom III BFG). It was also possible on OG Xbox. On Xenia, you have to basically close the app, and relaunch Xenia. However, maybe on original hardware, launching a game from the other keeps the language setting of the base game, which would mean that even though the second game is technically able to play in every language, it is restricted to the languages of the first (which, for the US version, are EN, FR, ES). So if it is confirmed, that would mean it's a flaw in Xenia's emulation of the actual on-hardware behaviour.

I assume that samsam12 tested the language by changing his console's system language to another ? Because, the way I did it, was changing Xenia's(let's say to German), booting the game (Here the US dump of DOOM III starts in English since it does not support German), selecting Doom I, then Xenia would ask to be rebooted, and Doom I would start in German

And yeah, It's the arcade version, because on Xenia, I have an option to "Buy the full game", like the XBLA games where the Demo and the full game where actually the same file, you could download the game for free, then you could buy the full game (which would just switch a byte from 0 to 1 in the license).

It's also probably a Xenia problem, because of course the full games were included with Doom III, Bethesda would have been destroyed by the players otherwise wink

And also, the files themselves and the folders names correspond to https://dbox.tools/titles/xbox360/58410824/ and https://dbox.tools/titles/xbox360/584109B6/

In the folder names content, there is two folders, one called "584109B6", which contains a file named "DCD09D6E21B0BC532C57E76686EBCF7CD396095D58", and another folder named "58410824" which contains a file named "F080A06B113FA57C70C8C39B4430AD71F0A661D558"

I added on the other disc entries that they contain XLA version of Doom I and Doom II, without mentioning languages. If there's anything else to change, let me know.

Ganou, after the affair with Doom 3 BFG not being dumped from Europe (only German version, which should match)... Do you suspect of any other cases not marked in the Wiki?

I really want to end this as far as Tony and I can go.

You mean of PAL dump with a region that is not definitive ? apart from Poland / Russia, and some dump where the region being UK or Europe needs more research,

I do not see others at the moment, the wiki still has a lot of info.

And I'm sure that I missed some, but of course, whenever I spot one, I'll add it to the wiki.

But we're a bit limited because we can't add regions.
Languages speak from themselves, in general, so that's still okay, the worst thing is still the lack of twins for South America, like there's dumps with Spain/Latam region, Europe / Latam, Italy/ Brazil, Poland/Brazil, Japan / Brazil, Portugal/Brazil, Australia/Asia etc that are only showed in the comments currently. And even then, more twins would be welcome. like for this Spain / Russia dump of Rise of the Tomb Raider. And I personally think that triple region flags could be added, but that's even more far off.
