I had a thought about an alternate way of renaming the games.. maybe something like this..

insted of:

1945 I&II The Arcade Games (Au) [SLES-51741] ---> 1945 I & II - The Arcade Games [PAL] [En][De][Fr][Es][It] [v1.00] [SLES-51741]
SingStar - ´80s (Sw) [SCES-53609] ---> SingStar - '80s [PAL] [Se] [v2.00] [SCES-53609]
Disney-Pixar's - Finding Nemo (E) [SLES-51872] ---> Disney-Pixar´s Finding Nemo [PAL] [Se][No][Dk] [v1.00] [SLES-51872]

The language codes whould be:

is there anyone who thinks that this is any good?
i found it very easy to find a specific game when they are organized like this..
any thoughts?

Lite-On SOHD-167T, NEC CDR-1901A, Plextor PX-712A, PX-716A, PX-760SA, Samsung TSSTCorp SH-D162D.

I don't know what all the others think about adding languages (I believe the serial number says all you must know about the dump),
but I think it would be good to add version numbers to all dump names

PX-760A (+30), PX-W4824TA (+98), GSA-H42L (+667), GDR-8164B (+102), SH-D162D (+6), SOHD-167T (+12)

maybe we should add languages like no-intro. I think it's very usefull.

And if we uses languages we can use the iso standard of country codes, it must be the best way to do this..
look here.. it was this list i made my changes after..

http://www.iso.org/iso/country_codes/is … ements.htm

And if we use PAL, NTSC-U, NTSC-J we never have to worry about if an Australian release is pure (Au) or if it is the same as (E) and therefore should be renamed to (E) after it has been verified that it is indeed the same disc..

PAL is always pal ... and so on..

PX-760A (+30), PX-W4824TA (+98), GSA-H42L (+667), GDR-8164B (+102), SH-D162D (+6), SOHD-167T (+12)

Hmm... I dont know, maybe they are in PAL format (also reset to 50Hz) but they are in most cases remaked from NTSC-U format, and have US serials

PX-760A (+30), PX-W4824TA (+98), GSA-H42L (+667), GDR-8164B (+102), SH-D162D (+6), SOHD-167T (+12)

US serial? no, they have (E) serial.
PSX:
MediEvil 2 http://redump.org/disc/2625/
PS2:
Need for Speed: Carbon http://redump.org/disc/4017/
Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie http://redump.org/disc/201/

ok, I see, but I have some with US serials, just not in db:

Silent Hill (Vector) SLUS-00707
Final Fantasy Origins (???) SLUS-01541

...and many of PS2 games

PX-760A (+30), PX-W4824TA (+98), GSA-H42L (+667), GDR-8164B (+102), SH-D162D (+6), SOHD-167T (+12)

OMG. they are pirate, not license.

LoL Vertor releases are also pirate? big_smile честно не знал!

PX-760A (+30), PX-W4824TA (+98), GSA-H42L (+667), GDR-8164B (+102), SH-D162D (+6), SOHD-167T (+12)

can't you find it by looking on translation?=)

nrl_quaker, I've not played them, but I know what you mean tongue thanks for info

PX-760A (+30), PX-W4824TA (+98), GSA-H42L (+667), GDR-8164B (+102), SH-D162D (+6), SOHD-167T (+12)

or maybe remove (Au) and others altogether and just use (E)

Not a language-related suggestion, but I didn't want to open a new thread:

I noticed that multi-disk-titles are now organized as one set in the dats, like:

Final Fantasy VII (E) (Disc 1) [SCES-00867]

I think it would be better to either remove the disk-number-tag completely:

Final Fantasy VII (E) [SCES-00867]

or replace it with a number-of-disc-tag:

Final Fantasy VII (E) (3 Disks) [SCES-00867]

What do you think?
