Can I use it as-is to dump games now, or do I need to install some specific firmware first?

Edit: Another question, can I use it with a SATA to USB external adapter?

Just grab the latest firmware from the links here: http://wiki.redump.org/index.php?title= … patibility

Edit: And yes, you can use a USB adapter fine, just make sure it has external power.

Thanks. However, I just plugged it in, and all I get are blinking amber lights. It was too good of an offer, I guess.

Edit: Now works if I use it internally. With the adapter it does not work. I have installed the firmware, and now I'll dump those discs I couldn't dump before.
