Hi,

The BIOS datfiles downloadable on redump seem to use a different format to the usual XML datfiles.

I'm trying to write a parser for it and was wondering if that format has a name and where I can find more information about it.

I'm talking about the files that start with a header like this:

clrmamepro (
    name "Nintendo - GameCube - BIOS Images"
    description "Nintendo - GameCube - BIOS Images (16) (2021-09-18)"
    category Console
    version 2021-04-16
    author "ElBarto, Jackal, Extrems | redump.org"
)

Any links to documentation about this format is much appreciated.

Hi, the BIOS DATs hosted on redump.org are old, and unfortunately we cannot update them without iR0b0t.
You can view the latest BIOS DATs that I made here: https://old.redump.info/downloads
No-intro's dat-o-matic also hosts updated BIOS DATs (except for PS2, which my link above has a newer version).
