Hi. I was an active user back in 2009. Since then I became obsessive video game hoarder. I want to get rid of some of the games but I thought I might do some good to the community and preserve those discs.

My problem is I have too many games. I'm ok with dumping each disc twice but my gawd getting hash and filling blanks by hand would be a nightmare.

Would it be ok to use clr mame pro to scan iso folders and use any match like this as a valid verification? I will take pics of my games with my username in the background as a proof these games legit.

If a game is not in the database I'm ok with filling info by hand. Its only about those games we have as verified.

Thanks.

If you're using DIC with /c2 then there's no real need to dump twice.

ok what's /c2?

Sorry I haven't been following redump.org for years.

Depending on the platform, you could check which ones are undumped via the per-"ROM" IDs on the disc and just do those. There are platforms that don't have these IDs of course.

Ok found it. Gonna test new tools...

Good to know. I'm going to remove two dumps from the guide then. No point in wasting people's time and making it more complicated than necessary.
