"リーチ" is not "Reach".
Riichi (Romaji, I submitted) or Li-Zhi (Pinyin).

In Mahjong context riichi seems to be preferred term.

I don't really care either way I just wanted to show off my Mahjong knowledge. big_smile

"リーチ" is derived from the Chinese.

What's the difference between ー and 一? On the covers they look the same, but Japanese sites differ them for this title.

I think they may be deliberately making a pun between "reach" and "riichi".

What's the difference between ー and 一?

ー (U+30FC) marks a long vowel, 一 (U+4E00) is the character for "one".
