But its a matter of 5 minutes to change the slogan title to Redump - Game Disc Preservation Project
that would make the purpose (and specification) of the project clearer
ps: arent there dvd and cdda databases already?

I know only about Amarok in Germany that he can dump them and is also willing to dump games sent to him..which i will do in 2 weeks have over 20 games ready for him to dump.
But do we have people from other regions which can and would dump dreamcast games?

Good holidays to everyone from me as well.
In this year we dumped over 7000 discs, completed the gamecube usa retail set and thanks to active members which also donated money we have to search and dump less than 100 american playstation games now.
Its a great success for us all.

all three are accepted. 2. is a part of the retail package. doesnt matter if a bonus disc contains demos of other games, making of footage or a whole movie like in the .hack games for the ps2.
that anime btw is part of the experience which are the .hack games. that anime was not sold seperatly from the game

To compare the service of a database with the one of a torrentracker seems unreasonable.
People can download files trough torrentfiles..be they movies..audiofiles..games and what not.
But nobody can download anything trough reading hash-informations.
If redump.org dumpers, moderators or even administrators upload and share files using the redump.org database or not they make themself guilty of course.
Trackers and torrentfiles are needed to share files. a database however is for sure not.

except that everyone can dump a psx or ps2 game and/or compare hashes and upload an original game or even often a "found" image and ul it as "redump image" while arcademachines are something very expensive often and rare as well.
an about page for redump should be mandatory anyway

a lot games of the last 15 years have different..localised names in the different regions.
My question is, why dont we preserve that type of a information via the comments as well?
