I have a question, ISO Buster says it can't find any system files and it's actually blank do you have to use it's find missing files feature before you can dump a 3DO game or is it just my drive/game?

Hi, is the guide still the best way to dump PSP games, I was reading over at No-Intro and their discussion says DA dumper produces bad dumps so I wanted to ask does redump still want DA dumps or is there a better method.

toseciso.org already has over 500 3DO dumps.. even though they are dumped as 2048, there is no data missing that cannot be generated by converting to raw. Personally I just don't think it's much use adding this system to redump if there will only be maybe 5 dumps (like Dreamcast) and none of the dumps will be shared anyway, but it's up to Dremora to decide.

So then it should be easy to verify if they are correctly dumped by toseciso.org if I get the games dump them a few times with 2352 bytes/sector .bin on a couple drives then get a tseciso.org dump convert it to raw and see if it matches checksums. Why won't they be shared, i'm sure if some was found to be bad dumps the members of UG would like them.

Dremora or anyone that can add 3DO to the DB and write out explicitly what information you want I should have some dumped by this weekend. I called around and they are only like $4.95 to $14.95 here. Can we check for errors with cdmage?

Thank you for your time.

Good, so it should be easy to dump them then. So you just dump them like a psx disc without the checking step.

I am interested in dumping 3DO games, actually in dumping all cd based games but I digress does 3DO games usually have audio tracks? I am not good dumping multi-track games. Actually my drive as an offset of +6 is that an useful drive at all?

On a side note is there any chance of adding a section for non-protected PC games?

You can edit yourself if you want, load it up with notepad and delete all entries for EU and J. I did that a long time a go with no intro dats it took awhile though. Be careful so you don't delete an US game. I think with the lack of replies that they have no desire to do that and its probably more work to keep up 3 dats instead of just one and it raises the chances of error I believe.

Thanks Haldrie, Here is my original asking.

http://forum.redump.org/viewtopic.php?id=694

The reply from a Havikoro was this...

"I'm sure pepsidrinker is talking about an LG-816 dvd-rom drive as I just got one of these myself and I'm getting ready to dump Gamecube and Wii games with Raw Dump 2.0. I don't see why dumps using Raw Dump wouldn't be accepted since you get a perfect 1:1 dump with this method and I feel it's more reliable then using the BBA method. Dumping games with Raw Dump is pretty straight forward all you do is select your drive and then click "Start Dump". When you have your .iso you need to check your file and see how many KB large it is.

Nintendo Wii ISO size: 4.37 GB (4,699,979,776 bytes).

Nintendo Gamecube ISO size: 1.35 GB (1,459,978,240 bytes)

All Nintendo Wii and Gamecube images will be this exact byte size. If your Wii/Gamecube image is off by any then you have a bad dump and need to try again. I plan to submit some Gamecube NTSC-U/J dumps soon."

That's for rawdump anyway I just heard of Friidump 15 minutes a go so I know nothing about that but what I posted in the first message.

What Haldrie? rawdump is a program to dump gamecube and wii games its an alternative to having a modded gamecube and Friidump is an alternative to rawdump. I was wondering if they made a good dump to be added to the database. There is a GC and Wii section.

Hi Dremora or any other person that runs the site,

Would you accept rawdump dumps of Wii and Gamecube games. I asked before and a Mod didn't answer. I have a lot of GC and Wii games I can add.

Or the Alternative Friidump.

I'm sorry I don't understand fully. Does displacement mean the offset? The drive I have now is a LG DVD-ROM GDR8164b I can't get the offset with EAC as I don't have a music cd it can get it off of. Accuraterip gives it an offset of +102. Are we still supposed to -30 to it? If so it would be +72. I would not be able to rip the -542 and -617 correctly right? How would I know if I can copy the audio correctly? How would I know if my drive can copy the data track correctly  because it gives the same md5, etc. with each dump?

Thanks for the suggestion. I have looked into the drive and it looks good but the price I will have to save up for it.

I have to get a new optical drive. What do you guys recommend to get so I can as perfectly as possible dump all data off of the ps1/ps2 discs? Is it generally a good idea to get a cd-rom and dvd-rom drive or burner or will a dvd drive be fine dumping cds? I have read sites like cdfreaks and such but I get confused on what's the best drive to dump the data I am dumping.

I would like to get a drive if possible to as perfectly dump sega cd, sega saturn and playstation 1 and 2.

Thanks for any help
