I dumped this twice with DICUI and got the same hashes, then dumped again with ISO Buster and got a different hash. Let me know if I need to run further tests, this is going up for sale on Sunday and I won't have it shortly after.

Here's the xDelta patch, i think i made this right https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RmtQg8 … sp=sharing

There are 18 pages of Dumps, about 1/3rd of them have [ADDED]. Some of the old ones are awaiting replies, but most just need to be cleaned up.

>Theoretically, it could be optimized somehow, like, some 'garbage collector' that moves all the [ADDED] once a week.
That sounds great. Also allowing for comments in History of Dumps might not be a bad idea.

>We didn't exactly come to an agreement yet on a standard?

^If no one's discussing it or has a better idea, why not implement it? I've got devs ready to support the redump set for the first time in a decade and this thread is already collecting dust.

>As for having more developers working on the site or access to backups, I think this issue was thoroughly addressed before. I guess iR0b0t is too paranoid about security

Redump is scrape-able. So we're holding back letting devs help update why again?

>Other topics you have mentioned past that is a concern of staff.

I chat with the staff regularly, and they're concerned with the site not being updated. This is a non-reply trying to obfuscate the facts.

The staff is concerned that redump is only controlled by one person.

The staff is concerned that the DC set is unplayable.

The staff is concerned there is not multisession support on redump.

The staff is concerned that the site is out of date. etc.

Users are concerned as well. http://forum.redump.org/topic/17805/a-s … up-redump/

Its a sign of how ineffective a leader you are. The forum is littered with crap and disorganized and the site isn't being updated. If you don't want to do the work, let others do it.

>I don't know who you are talking about and what messages you are referring to.

You have people offering to help improve this site and won't take anyone up on the offers. There's work to be done and no one else has permissions to do it.

http://forum.redump.org/topic/18611/to- … e-updates/
http://forum.redump.org/topic/19969/seg … ticue-gdi/

And a 17 comment thread about how we're concerned about you pearl clutching redump's database info and no reply? People have submitted over a million dollars and discs and you're going to disrespect the community by not even replying that they want the database backed up?

http://forum.redump.org/topic/17805/a-s … up-redump/

Seriously man. A lot of us feel like you're really not taking your admin responsibilities seriously and it's harming the preservation community. Users and Mods alike. LET. OTHERS. HELP. We need a modern database that is updated. We need a DC set that is usable, we need SSL, we need full database backups, we need multisession support added, we need DICUI cvs submission added, so much is left undone right now and we're lucky to get a reply from you on these concerns. No one else has root permissions, no one else can implement these changes.

>Why are you posting stuff like that around the whole internet and point it to my name?

What do I have to do to get you to clean up all the [ADDED]'s? Clean up your room son.

>If mods who added them don't have forum editing rights they should at least leave a comment that the topic is officially added...

Or grant all mods permission so they don't have to track you down and hope you'll actually contribute to the site?

I've had a few mods tell me you're ignoring their messages to improve this site. Why not gracefully hand over the keys so we can progress? It's ironic that one of the biggest impediments to video game preservation right now is an inactive admin who ignores mods and users.

Xbox regional variants for demos are still a question mark, so we would love dumps / verifications of those.

PSX magazine demos are all dumped.

These need to be moved to History Of Dumps subforum.

Don't ban me bro! Thanks to the redump mod team. I've known AJ for a while now and he's a very detailed person, great decision.

Myself and several others have submitted DVD-V's and they're always slow to be added. Slow = higher chance of MIA. Can we get a new Mod to handle these? ajshell offered to do it a while back and is a very detailed person, so I recommend him.

If this could be not yet another redump issue swept under the rug, that would be awesome of course.

Hi and welcome! I've been hunting down a lot of the Scandanavian PSX / PS2 games, would love to chat on Discord if you're available smile

Very cool, it's always great to have more help. Are you familiar with our dumping guides? http://wiki.redump.org/index.php?title=Dumping-Guides

I'm currently working on a new Dreamcast guide using dcdumper.

Hi Keeper_76,

>I currently have some console dumps like Saturn or Dreamcast

To clarify, we don't accept dumps found on the internet, only dumps made from original discs by contributors following our dumping guides for purposes of quality control.

Can you dump it with isobuster without having error messages?

I start getting unreadable sectors after it reads whats viewable on the browser level (.32%) of the dump

This disc is nonstandard and isn't dumping properly in disc image creator or Xbox Backup Creator. I've also tried PC DVD and DVD-Video setting in DICUI with no luck.

I'm in touch with the gentleman inolen from redream, he says adding support for the two cue system will be easy and he's ready to do so.

Im sure if we ask to the Reicast Libretro devs would be happy to share their thoughts too.

"Use TOSEC's system."

Add placeholder pregap lengths? Not seeing how that would be any worse.

Right now the Redump DC set is a problem. Emu devs won't touch it. This is a fault of the redump DC system and an issue that needs resolution.

>So if data / track hashes stay the same, what's the problem with emu devs, can't they just generate the cues internally on the fly?

No incentive. They're happy with the TOSEC sets. This makes the Redump sets completely worthless / useless in all practical sense. GDI is an all around terrible decision. You may as well have asked "Why won't they wipe our asses?"

>I assume this new format would be just as accurate?

Yeah same data / track hashes, just easier for devs to access.

We'll be fundraising soon for the redump DC set, so "hey we can't use any of your dumps" seems like a pretty accurate criticism people might have, and emu devs won't be adding GDI support beyond what exists. With multi-cue and diplomacy, i'm sure we can get support added.

Sega Dreamcast is heading towards a PAL and USA fullset. A friend has offered to grant me access to his USA DC fullset after Christmas (pending I can raise shipping funds), and AJ and I are working on a video dumping guide.

As USA / PAL DC sets begin to wind down, we're in need of a better solution for emulator developers to implement support for the redump DC sets.

Fireball has expressed interest in shifting to a multi-cue format instead of GDI, and I believe that would be the best move to make. If redump could implement multi-cue, I would be happy to get into touch with emu devs to bridge the disconnection between what we're doing and what they're doing - allowing the redump DC sets to actually be useful.

Torrentted84 has done a test dump and is ready for an account please.
