This was an OEM-specific pseudo-demo of Descent: FreeSpace: The Great War that was bundled with a few early-2000s computers. It consists of the first third of the game, and has some engine differences from the final release.
I believe I got this with a Dell PC I got in ~2002, and it's been sitting in a folder ever since.
