Re: Optical Disc Drives Compatible with Compact Discs (CDs) (12 replies, posted in General discussion)
Hi,
I have previously submitted new dumps with Redumper using my Apple SuperDrive; am I understanding correctly that this drive is no longer supported for both new dumps or verifications?
DVD's can still be dumped with pretty much anything. This just concerns CD's.

Hm, yea could very well be the adapter. Usually its SATA to USB causing issues though. Never heard of an IDE to USB being faulty.
While a bit old we do have a page for Recommended adapters. Might want see if you can get hold of something else.

Re: First dumping setup: help needed! (IDE over USB and other questions) (6 replies, posted in General discussion)
Hi and welcome.
Redumper/MPF should create a .log file and put into in the same folder that you assigned your dump to be in. It contains info on what went wrong, so if you post it here we can help you more easily

Re: Optical Disc Drives Compatible with Compact Discs (CDs) (12 replies, posted in General discussion)
Is there any good reason to phase out DIC like that on working drives?
Redumper has features that DIC lack. Also the former is in active development by a current Redump Moderator, while we aren't closely associated with DIC's creator anymore.

Sorry didnt see it earlier, heres my Protonmail.
Is there any information on why so many mail services cause problems?
Its an old site that among other things still run HTTP. Many services block us as spam or for security reasons.

Re: Identifying exact model of TS-H353 (5 replies, posted in General discussion)
Hi. I have the following drive:
It's obviously a TS-H353, but is it a TS-H353A, TS-H353B or TS-H353C? The "HP Model" contains "TS-H353C" but below that it says "H/W: A" and in smaller letters nearer the top it says "TS-H353(B)".
If it's a C, I want to flash the ZZ00 firmware for CD dumping (http://wiki.redump.org/index.php?title= … bility:_CD), but if it's an A or B, I want to flash the Kreon firmware for Xbox/360/Dreamcast dumping (http://wiki.redump.org/index.php?title= … 6_Xbox_360).
Presumably I could damage the drive by trying the wrong firmware?
Yea that's a H353C. You can ignore the extra B and A in hardware revision

Cloning this so i can add my own info. Original thread by Shfil.

Please don't hoard or inflate prices of these drivers.
2) Info about unconfirmed drives on list can be wrong.
3) There's always a chance that there will be different revision with different laser, so don't overpay.

Re: If you have not working plextor, then describe how it behaves here (1 replies, posted in General discussion)
How my 708A behaves with different OPU's.
With SF-DB10 S3: Doesn't spin up any disc. Tries for a few seconds before giving a Amber 5 (Offset adjustment failed)
With SF-DB10 N5: Drive makes ticking noises when presented with a CD and wont spin up the disc. Eventually gives an Amber 2 (Auto adjustment failed). DVDs Reads and dumps fine.
With SF-DB10 T12: Drive doesn't recognize any discs. Wont try and spin up and behaves as if no disc was present.
