Here another dump of same disc on old DIC 20211101T132455

Re: DiscImageCreator (3,526 replies, posted in General discussion)
Here are the logs of 3 dump attempts. First two I cancelled the dump at the end, it tries to reread c2 sectors despite /sf. 3rd dump is run with /c2 0 /sf but has to many errors.

Re: DiscImageCreator (3,526 replies, posted in General discussion)
@sarami I wanted to ask what the speed 0 does? Is it just max speed or does it more? I have got an undumped ps3 disc with scratches. I have tried following speeds with no luck: 1, 2, 4, 8, 12. But if I set 0 I can dump the disc fully, even twice in a row.
EDIT: Weird, speed 10 is also working.

Re: DiscImageCreator (3,526 replies, posted in General discussion)
sarami, here's another disc you might want to snag for study: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133917616260
It seems like we've run into anomalies / difference in hashes time and time again with this disc over the past couple years.
example: http://forum.redump.org/topic/41618/cdi … d-windows/
Did you know those two are the same disc?
http://redump.org/disc/67064/
http://redump.org/disc/85477/
Every time I dump that disc it will generate one of the two hashes every time randomly. The first Asterix XXL also with Tages does the same but I didn't added that.
EDIT: Today I have redumped this disc 5 times with two different drives models. This time I always get this result: http://redump.org/disc/67064/
So mine dump is wrong I assume?
The first Asterix XXL game still result in different hashes though. Here are the dumps from two drives (sr1 & sr2 are essentially the drive letters, all are MD5):

Re: DiscImageCreator (3,526 replies, posted in General discussion)
I have installed the game without any errors. I would assume the disc is in working order.
EDIT: What is the speed of 0 meaning? Didn't knew that value is possible.

gmipf wrote:@sarami: I wanted to know how you did dumped that disc: http://redump.org/disc/45814/
Did you just used the /sf command for Bitpool?
Redumped it. https://www.mediafire.com/file/7r5xtssh … og.7z/file
Here is my log: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wj281R … sp=sharing
Something weird is going on on my side. In your logs it seems the protected sectors are handled correctly but on my side it tries to reread some of the sectors despite being already detected as protected.
Here the console output too:

@sarami: I wanted to know how you did dumped that disc: http://redump.org/disc/45814/
Did you just used the /sf command for Bitpool?

OK, I will try burning an XGD3 iso and use it as the trap disc. Layerbreak the burn is 2133520 I think? Should I burn the DVD+R DL as booktype DVD-ROM or as normal?
EDIT: 2133520 isn't even possible on DVD+R DL? I think I need a burner with BurnerMAX feature for this?

Re: DiscImageCreator (3,526 replies, posted in General discussion)
I want to dump X360 discs using the trap disc method. Can I just create any iso with dummy files to the needed size and burn it to DVD+R DL? I can't find any pressed disc as big as 4267015. Or can I dump this disc: http://redump.org/disc/73691/
And increase its size with dummy files using UltraISO for example? Or can I just burn any random XGD3 disc and use it as the trap disc?
And how does it work in detail, do I have to set the manual layer break to half of the size of my iso size or half of the calculated size? Can I create one trap disc over 4267015 and use it for all 3 xbox disc formats?

Have burned a 50GB UHD movie to a BD-R 50GB now, that works perfectly fine on the PS5.

Topic: Playstation 5 can't read burned 100GB discs? (4 replies, posted in General discussion)
I have ordered 100GB BD XL discs and burned a 90GB UHD movie. I have verified the iso, and after burn process the media. The PC can read the disc fine. The PS5 shows disc can't read error. Any suggestions?

Re: Burning games with 01:74 pregap at second track (3 replies, posted in General discussion)
I have redumped the burned media Astal (USA) with DIC and it was exactly the same as the source image. So I assume it also stays exactly the same on the disc after burning with ImgBurn.
