Okay, tried another drive.  Getting a C2 error now at the transition of a session.  Not seeing any physical damage to the disc so not sure of next steps (if any)

Here are the logs for Frog Feast (Jag CD homebrew on CDR).  It fails pretty early on.

Getting this error on a JagCD homebrew title:

LBA[1166880, 0x11ce20]: [F:ExecSearchingOffset][L:463]
    Opcode: 0xd8
    ScsiStatus: 0x02 = CHECK_CONDITION
    SenseData Key-Asc-Ascq: 05-21-00 = ILLEGAL_REQUEST - LOGICAL BLOCK ADDRESS OUT OF RANGE
lpCmd: d8, 00, 00, 11, ce, 20, 00, 00, 00, 01, 02, 00
dwBufSize: 2448

The disc is a CDR.  Using the latest DIC packed with MPF

I can vouch for atrac17.  He has bought a Plextor and has shipped me stuff to dump in the meantime. Please sign him up.

Hi Sarami,

The dumper for this CD-i disc has dumped it multiple times and it hashes the same, but is throwing some non-C2 errors:

http://forum.redump.org/topic/31204/phi … s-of-evil/

Maybe worth a look?

So I'm out of my element here so please forgive my ignorance.  There has been some heated discussion in discord about whether we are creating proper cues for unlicensed DC games specifically revolving the lead-outs and pre-gaps.  Cartain folks think we aren't generating the cue properly to match standards.  As an example here is the cue for Elansar (a recently dumped unlicensed DC game)

REM SESSION 01
FILE "Track 01.bin" BINARY
  TRACK 01 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
REM LEAD-OUT 01:30:00
REM SESSION 02
REM LEAD-IN 01:00:00
REM PREGAP 00:02:00
FILE "Track 02.bin" BINARY
  TRACK 02 MODE2/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00

and here is the suggested "proper" cue

REM SESSION 01
FILE "Track 01.bin" BINARY
  TRACK 01 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
REM LEAD-OUT 00:04:02
REM SESSION 02
FILE "Track 02.bin" BINARY
  TRACK 02 MODE2/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00

log is here:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1lsiBG … mwL1M5D8e2

The conversation is way over my head, but thought I'd bring it to the attention of folks in the know for discussion.  We'd like to start getting these discs into the DB "properly", so might as well get it right before we have too many dumped a potentially incorrect/inadequate way.  As I said though, I don't have any notion as to if they are good as is or not.

Dumping an unlicensed DC game - Maquipai and getting the following error:

[ERROR] Number of sector(s) where mode2 NoEdc subheader(0x10 - 0x17) isn't same: 3
    Sector: 88956, 88957, 88958,

Total warnings: 0

Not sure if it is protection, normal, or something that needs to be looked at further.  Logs are here:

Game is cheap if needs to be reasearched:

Hi,

I'm dumping enough at this point that it might make sense to have Wiki access as I am just bugging other people to make changes.

Thanks,

RevQuixo
