Hello there and thanks for your patience.  Please bear with us as we get an admin to add your account.

In the meantime, if you'd like some help with getting started or to ask questions, you can join the VGPC Discord:

Thanks!

Just to clarify so there's no confusion - by remaining PS2 games we mean initial focus on the completely 'undumped titles' list at the top.  There are TONS of undumped revisions and editions - and while it'd be great to get all those some day, the main focus for now is on games that haven't been dumped at all, so we're focusing there.

Also - great to hear you have some from that list Parotaku! If anyone else already has any of the games in the 'undumped titles' section, please PLEASE let us know just so we avoid any double purchasing, etc etc.

Thanks to everyone who has helped.  We will continue to make excellent progress on PS2 Japan and I'm very committed to seeing this through until every last undumped title is addressed!

@samsam12 - would you be comfortable with this thread in the general area? Or did you want it in the dumpers section?

Hello everyone!

We appreciate all of your efforts, including fixes and additions that you have contributed to our database.  However, we've been receiving a large number of fix requests via PMs, Discord chats, and other methods, outside of the forums.  Unfortunately, documentation for these fixes is now sorely lacking and staff workload increases trying to keep track of everything.

Staff has discussed this issue and we've decided that from now on, all fixes and additions to existing entries need to be posted on the forums in the "Fixes and additions" section for documentation purposes.  In addition, any posted fixes may not be addressed for a few days, in case other people want to express any concerns or disagreements with the proposed changes.  This will ensure transparency and documentation for all corrections to the database.

If you have any questions about this process, feel free to ask any member of staff.  Thank you!

As we explained before, redump does not host or share disc dumps.  We assist users in archiving their own discs and submitting metadata information to the database.

diego - in an ideal world, where we have a cooperative admin and everything else is up-to-date, perhaps we could look into more nuanced items.  But atm, we have more important items to deal with.  For example, we don't even have a Mexico region, and other regions.

I respect the differences between language dialects and types, but atm, the best compromise I can think of, is that it can be put into the comments for now.

At least if it goes into the comments, the data is recorded and perhaps at some point this could be investigated further.  But in the meantime, we don't have the power to add it anyway.

I know we have a few people here (including myself) who are very interested in seeing those Korean submissions, so thanks!

Just checking to see if there are any thoughts, concerns, updates about the audio cd issue? I know this took a bit of a back-burner due to the site concerns, of course.

Do we have any sort of consensus on how to proceed here?

I can share that at least conceptually, I definitely agree with superg's general direction and what he is trying to accomplish here with a solution for the audio cds.

As for some of the specific concerns raised, some of it is a bit outside the scope of my technical knowledge, so it's hard for me to provide valuable input.

I'm very curious to hear what fireball has to say about the recent discussion.  I do think that discussing and addressing this before too long, is pretty important.  As someone else said as well, I know some people are holding back on preserving / submitting audio discs, because they know there are pending issues that need fixing.

Thanks to all of you for your amazing work on this, and especially superg, for digging deep into these issues and bringing this to the forefront.

I'll close this thread for now.  If you decide you want to dump any discs and/or provide info to the database, you can make a new thread requesting an account.  Thanks!

Redump does not store nor provide disc images.  We merely store metadata information about discs, such as hashes, and provide dats.  If you have your own discs that you would like to preserve and submit info to the database, you can create a new thread requesting an account.

Thanks!

Hello everyone!  If you are interested in joining our efforts and creating a redump account, we'd love your help!

An important update:  Unfortunately, at this time we are having issues with Microsoft and Google accounts (hotmail, gmail, etc), so if you can please use a different e-mail provider with your account registration, that will avoid some issues we are having right now with getting new accounts setup.

We apologize for any inconvenience, and appreciate your patience with us!

Please review the post here about setting up an account: http://forum.redump.org/topic/12228/wan … ead-first/

Thank you for your interest in redump!

Hello and thank you for your patience.  I've received the alternate e-mail you sent me and forwarded that to an admin to get this resolved.  Thanks!

Ok, if you change your mind and want an account to submit verifications or anything else, please feel free to make a new thread and request your account.  Thanks.

toggo9, Do you still want to request an account so that you can submit to the redump database? (Either new discs, verifications for existing entries, etc?)

Updating the OP here to clarify, and remind everyone again - that we are having issues with both outlook/hotmail AND gmail e-mail addresses.  We apologize for the inconvenience, but please use other e-mail addresses with your accounts, otherwise we will have trouble establishing the account.  Thank you!

If you need a free and easy option, we know that Protonmail works just fine: https://proton.me/mail

Thanks for your patience Pooka!  I've passed along an updated e-mail address you provided, that will hopefully work to get your account started.

A randomly generated password has been sent to your email, please change it upon login.

Redump only stores metadata information that you see on disc pages.  We do not store disc data.

Redump does not accept or store or share ISOs.  Redump is a project for storing the metadata when someone dumps a disc they own, and provides that metadata / hash information to the database.

Thanks for your interest.  Just confirming that Oondanomala has already joined the discord and dumped a disc for submission.
