I discovered that the X360 spanish version of Most Wanted is a bad dump and Ill provide a fix as soon as I can a new copy but... Which version?

Ofc, after checking closer, I've seen that this Most Wanted version is the original 2005 and not the reboot, but, should we maybe add a little info in the naming to difference them?

Is a weird case because, this is the only platform where both titles were edited.

Missing DMI

Almost all Japanese dumps from 2005 up to mid 2007

Title ID/Disc ID is parsed from the DMI on upload - something that wasn't in the official submission page
More trickling of entries
Kreon dumps are now accepted either modified or not - tldr, every Kreon rip is "guessing" what angle the disc has, so it basically is a wash regardless of what drive or if it has zeroed out portions. They're not ideal but as with all current DB entries, if we can get a SSv2 these get added over the pre-existing files

I think it would be cool to find out those missing discs so Ill guess Ill try to find out if someone can help.

I need to ask: Can you make a list for those 2005 to mid 2007 discs missing the DMI?

I need a proper explanation about what's missing from Cave: Is only the DLC disc and the Akai Katana reprint, or there is more?

Did you guys check our Missing Lists and compare it to the Scene? Maybe there are other unknown Japan undumped.

I think you guys could reflect a few extra steps better in the guides in order to provide the SS files as you want, both for Redump and ABGX, when it comes to dumping with a 0800.

Dont worry, the redump guide is wrong. Theres a big mistake on this i hope to solve.

Good progress - support for user accounts is added now, if you want to manually upload your dumps - it just reads out the CRC and uploads the SS/DMI/PFI, not the entire disc by yourself just PM me and I'll have hadzz create you a username and pass

16 verified in the past 10 days - and so much to do still. Thanks to everyone willing to help out

I bought a brand new Benq and I flashed successfully. However, i dont have the balls to make Windows recognize it. No idea why. I flashed it perfect with JungleFlasher but Windows just won't recognize it. Any idea? The BenQ is connected with X360 USB Pro.

So, how do i obtain the RawSS? Thats the question

Btw, there's a Sakura Flamingos unit here in spain for sale... But no price and its sealed, the seller is asking for offers so expect a bad price.

samsam12 wrote:

It's not difficult - you want either a BenQ or Lite On drive from a fat console

You can use built in SATA if your mobo is old enough or get a USB Pro - the process is the same regardless

Open XBC, extract SS/DMI/PFI from the disc - that's it. If your dump doesn't match the file in the DB, it's likely an undocumented pressing. The game in question is uncommon, so it's possible it's just an undumped disc. Post it here if you want and I can reference it from the copy I have

I doubt it. This is the same disc that JHMiller dumped for ABGX. That's why im surprised. Same disc, same writer, different hash for SS.bin   -.-

Please Samsam, can you confirm how exactly you want the SS Files?

I got an USB Pro and im pending to receive a new 0800 drive, mine got broken last night. I dumped SS.bin with Xbox Creator for Obut Petanque 2 but the SS.bin didnt match with the one that JHMiller added to ABGX and I dont understand anything about how you want this added.

Those reprints are confirmed to be different revisions?

samsam12 wrote:

SSv2 isn't affected - I noticed this, but wasn't sure why some files were being modified

Regardless - it's problematic for Xbox 360 dumps to create false hashes - these discs are pressed with a certain level of deviation per game, and the drive on a real console has this expectation. It makes archiving harder, but as of now Redump doesn't even include these for their disc hashes anyway.

The files will work, it's just less accurate than the files as ripped with a specific value. Inherently it's how these discs are pressed, reading out that sector is rarely going to read 1:1 from it's pressing. The best solution going forward is to encourage using 0800 firmware/XBC for Xbox 360, and Kreon for anything OG Xbox.

The database is starting to populate with entries from the community. It's manual between myself and hadzz for now, however some back end work for anyone wanting to add themselves is coming eventually, so ideally we'll have credentials for Redump members if they would like to directly add new dumps

Samsam, I always wondered which games/discs were never dumped by the Scene in Xbox 360. Did you ever compared the avaliable data with out Wiki Missing Lists?

Not in the database, at all
Only SSv1

Post or PM myself with files attached, and if you'd like your name added to the submission. The database is accessible to everybody, and will have support for users to manually upload their files very soon. http://hadzz.com/abgx/verified_static.html

Lock if this is a conflict of interest - the intent is to compliment Redump, not step on it's toes.

I don't run the project, but am closely involved in hadzz completely self funded rebuilding of the database

Hi Samsam!

First, let me tell you there's no conflict in colaborating, this situation is something I adressed I few days ago because I found important for x360 archival preservation to save these files. Having you here is great news.

Sadly, I must warn you: Redump never saved those. No idea why, but we only include the hashes for it. But, a few mates have been collecting that data by their own side and datting it.  Is incomplete but is the least we can share.

AFAIK, the dats for PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 should finally be opened soon. I hope so, I think is a good moment for the public to access.

Tell Hadzz from my side that we really apreciate this effort. One of my spanish pals, JHMiller, was one of the main volunteers from abgx360 project and he was sad he could never reach Seacrest to talk.

From my side: Im starting to dump Xbox 360 in the months to come so I can push the Spain set plus some missing european ones. If there's anything I can do, I'll be happy to help.

I need to ask you something: You guys managed to detect every single existing game released with XGD3 protection? Im breaking my ass to make sure I identify those so we have all those SS files correctly dumped for that protection series.

Hi, I have a question about PSX game serials.

I have the Spanish version of Syphon Filter 3 with the correct CRC acording to this: http://redump.org/disc/27491/

According to that entry the serial should be SCES-03701/P  but when I scan the Rom on Retroarch or I try to convert to a PBP file the serial appears as SCES-03701 without the "/P". I'm not an expert but AFAIK the serial  is extracted from the bin, and the bin matches the CRC...

Am I missing something? It happens in some more PAL games.

Thanks to all of you for your amazing work!!

http://redump.org/discs/quicksearch/driver-2/

Finally, thanks!!!!!!!!! It was really hard to find this disc.

You don't have any sign of "

You ignore my private messages and is not the end of the world.

Anyway, the main target of my post points out an important difference between Spanish and Latin Spanish, so i hope this gets added as new Language.

Thanks all of you for supporting this one, I'm glad to see more people interested in having this added!

This is something that I should have asked long long ago, but, at least, I'm finally doing it. For years you have been indicating that Spanish is just the same for every game, but it's not.

Redump has always been a platform to make sure you could know which languages were added to the NTSC versions, so, if you wanted to use this version instead of the PAL one if the first one had spanish inside, the database could deliver the necesary info.

Latin American spanish is a variety of the original spanish, Castilian, with its own voice tone and words. The differences may not be spotted easily by non spanish speakers, but for us, is just really difficult to not be able to recognise each other.

Years ago this wasn't really a problem as most games shared the same translations, but in time this changed. Let me put an actual example of this problem:

http://redump.org/disc/47271/
http://redump.org/disc/37475/
http://redump.org/disc/62238/

Dark Souls trilogy was released in Europe with an ugly as f* artwork and a box card with 3 cases for each game. I wanted to buy the USA one, as it comes in the steelbook edition, that is gorgeous.

Problem: The dubbing and texts are Latinamerican spanish. The differences can be too sutle, but the differences are important enough to start making a difference.

This is probably the case of Brazilian and Portuguese, but i can't speak on that case. What I can't say is that in time, for modern platforms, lot of again have received different translations and dubbings to accomodate the Latin America spanish countries/speakers, and it's time to add the flag, and push some fixes.

Ey please! He asked me politely to receive his account, is there any mod around?

Cool! Thanks for discovering this! Ofc we''ll be happy to catch it, we didnt know about this release.

You will receive an account soon.

Did you make any new research on this, Led?

Lets make this clear.

1. You are not building the fastest PS2 emulator. You built an PCSX2 dynarec for ARM, which yes, is quiet impresive, for monetizing it and thats all, all new enhancements in the last updates only comes thanks to bruteforcing the new chipsets like Snapdragon 855. Everything related to DemonPS2 has already been discussed in r/Emulation and r/Emulationonandroid and every single lie the guy/s behind DamonPS2 have been completely exposed. This is no place to discuss this again.

2. Redump doesnt storage roms and giving you an account wont give you access to any hidden stuff or information from Playstation 2 data. All we have is completely public and the account will only let you add new dumps/verifications...

3. ... Which you arent interested in. Because you already said you need the roms for emulator testing. If you needed any other info, is all contained in the dats or it can be checked in the database without needing any special permission.

4. I want to remark Agent47 words. If we let this guy get an account, seeing how they have manipulated completely all the information around their situation, they will probably come telling the community that Redump is now supporting DamonPs2 and use that as proof that these devs are legit. I dont want these guys to use our name under no circunstances.

5. Redump and the Videogame Preservation Collective are different platforms. Giving donors to VGPC does not mean you are actually buying or acquiring an account on Redump.

At the end of the day, i would have no problems in letting them in as long as they contribute with stuff like the Japanese set, but thats not going to happen. I know really well what this guy is looking for. All their project has been built around lies and the manipulation, this is easily proved by checking all the Reddit discussion about the project and the insane amount of garbage they have been telling their users on their FB group (which ive been following in the last year, they have been misinforming for months about their project's updates).

I still find terrible the way you try to sink all the PCSX2 team efforts knowing you just took their work as the main base. You havent even fixed a single bug from the ones known on PCSX2 that, what a coincidence, can be found exactly the same on DamonPS2.
