Like the subject asks, Are leading empty bytes in the audio tracks important in determining a 1:1 dump or are the gaps the only important part of determining empty space between tracks?

I'm attempting to dump the Baldur's Gate 2 CE: Bonus CD and I'm running into a snag. I ran it through DIC and PerfectRip on a Plextor 760a and came out with two different checksums for Track 2.
I then later tried the old EAC method on a second computer. I had to disable Overread for the last track, but I ended up with with yet a third checksum for track 2.
Disc is pristine and hardly used. Ran it twice each time as well. There's some weirdness in between the tracks when I look using IsoBuster.
Anyone have any idea what I'm running into? If there's anything I need to provide logwise or datawise let me know.
used the following settings/commands
DiscImageCreator.exe cd g BonusCD 8 /c2

Re: Project dead? Losing interest? (8 replies, posted in General discussion)
https://www.sendspace.com/file/l5s307 -- this subdump version is suggested (mode 6 for plextors, mode 1 for the rest, but if non-Plextor drive is used, it's better to use swapping with cdda disc and set the leadout via -endaddr parameter). Modes 2 and 3 for plextors on earlier subdump versions are bad, since in this mode it only reads P and Q channels ignoring R-W in most cases.
Thanks, I'm running it again with this version right now

No datfile (someone should waste half an hour to make an .xml datfile using your checksums from .xls), EAC log submitted from a suspicious drive (while you do have a good PX-760), no PR log, no DIC log (PR and DIC are way more trustful than EAC which generates certain pregaps instead of reading them and alters pregap sizes), no subchannels dump. Guess, there's no volunteers to take a responsibility to add this dump as good.
As this is the first I've heard of these requirements, I'll upload them as soon as I'm off work. I dumped it dozens of times on both drives and have all these and even several subdumps made already (one is already uploaded to a question I posted in a thread earlier)

I've got over a dozen discs here that are all games that have already had versions of them dumped, but mine are all timestamped as original releases while the ones in the database are usually dated days/weeks after the original release date. I've had questions and even attempted to submit information regarding one of my discs with no feedback/communication for nearly twenty days or more. Are these just not of interest to this project or what?

Re: Pre-Gap of Zero on First Audio Track (5 replies, posted in General discussion)
My plextor had no issues with track 11 and retrieved the same result as if I had used EAC with overread disabled.
PerfectRip also retrieves a data track with the same CRC as isobuster would if extracted without specifying from-to.

Re: Pre-Gap of Zero on First Audio Track (5 replies, posted in General discussion)
Just ran PerfectRip and ran into the same issue I did with EAC using Overread into Lead-In and Lead-Out. Errors at end of Track 11. Funny thing is that the CRC matches for all tracks after I set the read offset to -102 (It was +102 in EAC)

I ran subdump, do I just provide the .sub or do I include all the additional numbered subs as well?
.sub + log and the additional atable and lbatable files
http://www.mediafire.com/download/aa8gq … Subdump.7z
Here are the logs and .cue files from the EAC rips using both a PLEXTOR PX-760A and a MATSHITA UJ-862 drive.
http://www.mediafire.com/download/f3add … ue_logs.7z
px_d8.exe says the write offset is 0 which matched what I found using the manual method as well.
This is from an earlier (original) release of the game than the one currently uploaded to redump so I don't have anything to compare to.

I've got a mixed CD already ripped in MDF/MDS, but the original can't be read anymore. Gap information seems to be lost in the MDF/MDS, but is it possible to still retrieve the audio tracks using EAC?
I'm testing with a different CD right now, but I can't seem to get a match.

Topic: SecuROM Dumps (0 replies, posted in General discussion)
I've been following the wiki article located here here, but I can't seem to create identical rips using Alcohol. Both the mdf/mds have different checksums even when created on the same drive and this is a pretty pristine disc.
Another issue is when creating the CCD using clonecd, I get the message
W 6:38:15 PM Device MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-862 doesn't support reading of 96 bytes subchannel data (CD+G)!
Is this important enough that I should wait until my new drive arrives?
Also do I need to do anything special to request the subdump application? I'm attempting most of the later Sims 2 Expansions which aren't on the list yet.
Edit:
Took a look into a previous post about the subject and I've got a few more questions.
The subcode in the MDF from Alcohol is full of errors. Should I use subdump and compare two rips from different machines and then combine that with the bin to create a new MDF using the 2352to2448 application?
MDS has the same CRC issues as MDF. How do I know if I have an accurate MDS rip?
