Just have a bunch of PS2 CD to dump.  Since they are only 1 TRack, Do I need to use CLRMame Pro to get the Hash ?  According to tuto, it only fro multi track.

Also, where do I put those SHA-1, CRC, etc... and in which format ?

Thanks for the quick answer and also precise one.

So if I understand well (it's early the morning for me :-)) ONLY protected games cannot be copied with ISOBuster.  Rest would be 100% OK.

Then is there a complete or almost complete list of LibCrypt games floating around.  I've no problem to use CloneCD and I will minimize its use.  So really for protected games, where as far as I remember these is only a few.

Last and not least, any special config for CloneCD ?  Should I use Prtected Games option ? of Data Option ?

Thanks for your help

Well, I need to dump a few PSX games with Audio Tracks. I wonder if using ISOBuster will fit and dump all necessary data in order to:

1) play the game in emulator without any issues
2) reburn the ISO later and play it back on PS1 console

I know that to have a perfect dump I've to follow the method here using ISOBuster and EAC but I do not care for those dumps if the audio is slightly shifter in time of a few microseconds and if the audito track is at 99.9% exact (were majority of people won't notice the difference) :-P

I just need to be sure that all subchannels are dumped with that way ensuring a "near 1:1 copy".  I saw a few comment on other forums thta it works and I prefer asking the gurus here, where you know how this really works big_smile

Thanks for any reply/comment

When dumping Chill (PAL-M5) [SLES-00711], I do, as usual --fix and --checksums to get the needed info and as well without parameters to get the info such as the EXE date.

Fix worked fine and cheksums as well (see bellow):

psxt001z by Dremora, v0.21 beta 1

File: Chill (PAL-M5) [SLES-00711].bin
Size (bytes):   140790720 (OK)
Size (sectors): 59860 (OK)
Mode: 2
EDC in Form 2 sectors: NO
System area: Eu NoEDC
Postgap type: Form 1, zero subheader, zero data
Done.

Note that the game has been dumped on 2 different reader, as usual and there is no difference between dumps.

Problem arise when I get the info, here is the output I get from PSXT001Z:

psxt001z by Dremora, v0.21 beta 1

File: Chill (PAL-M5) [SLES-00711].bin
Size (bytes):   140790720 (OK)
Size (sectors): 59860 (OK)
EDC in Form 2 sectors: NO
ID: \SLE-_00.1                           <--------- It freeze there

As the dump seems to be okay, I'll post it as dump in the repective section.  I will also share it on UG so maybe
Dremora can have a look.

If necessary, I can upload it on a private FTP.  Just let me know.

Thanks themabus for the answer.  This reconfort me in a way that, for single data track, if I extract it from 2 different reader and get the same, then it's 100% dumped.

I'm quite sure I will come back with plenty of question when I will dump multi tracks :-)

Also thanks to fuzzball for your link.

What I do not understand is why there is different versions (in that case at least 2) of that game where the date is the same.  I would understand if this is V1.1 with an older date for exemple, but here how is it possible ?

Normally, there should be only 1 glassmaster produced when game goes gold ...  Is it something which is often the cases or only a few games have different version (with same exe date) ?

Well, still a lot to understand with these redump processes :-)  Interesting,  for sure :-)

Well, I tried to dump "Rittai Ninja Katsugeki: Tenchu SLPS-01272" and get an additional sector at the end (full of zero!)

It's a 1 track CD.

I followed the Converting tutorial from Rocknroms but without success.  I tried to resize the bin by removing the unnecessary sector (resize -r -2352 "cd.bin") (also tired with the track.bin) but without success.

When scanning with psxt00lz I get the following:

Size (bytes):   545118336
From image:     545120688
Size (sectors): 231768
From image:     231769
EDC in Form 2 sectors: YES
ID: SLPS-01272
Date: 1997-10-16
System area: Jap EDC

Where both size and sectors fits the redump DB but still I do not understand the From image comment !

I also tried to fix the image, using  psxt00lz  but without success.

Any help welcome.

Thx

we add versions if exists an other image with different exe date.

Okie, thx for the info mate

I notice that there is some dump which have a version number such as Dino Crisis (U) (v1.1) [SLUS-00922].  Does this mean it is a redump as V1.0 was badly dumped or is it a real update from editor ?

If this is the first case, who can we find redump reason (v1.0 to V1.1 for exemple) ?

If this is the second case, how do we see version ?

Thanks to bring me light tongue
