Why xbox preserves the hash of Physical Format Information (PFI) and Manufacturing Information (DMI) in comments?
All DVD based disc (gc/wii, ps2 etc) have PFI and DMI but there isn't the hash in comments except xbox.

Probably because we never got to dump them. It would require that all dumpers run XBC just to get this info. If you can make DIC output this info it can surely be added smile

They lack of video partition if that's correct. Can be set to red.

Its probably okay to add the merged dumps, but please comment both separate partitions as well if you are going to add those.

Is that secure to assume that Asian release will match with Japan version?

No change in the dump with the new version.

I just want to make sure you got the right DIC version.
It was changed around this time http://forum.redump.org/post/60537/#p60537.

Is your current DIC version past May 7 ?

Has somebody ever tried to get the disc holder out of a psp and put it onto a standard pc drive to make the dumps?

I was planing to try that, but never got to that.

Game & Video partitions may be located on different layers or even different disc sides, but to get that we would need the PFI.

If game partition is on layer0 and video partition on layer1, merging both together could be right or wrong, depending if there is a gap after the game partition with padding data.

Unmerged does not really sound right to me BTW. It would only make sense to me if those discs are doublesided single layers.

Sounds like a CDI Ready disc, where the data track is merged with second audio track. DIC should be ready for that and would output 10 tracks on that, and there would be a large pregap, like here: http://redump.org/disc/51693/

There were some talks about that stuff, try to use the search option, maybe it will spit something out.

We used "Taikenban" because it is stated in this form on disc and covers, and sometimes on the main menu screen.

CD-i Ready Test dump (attached)

I firmly believe the data part should not be unscrambled.

No, its numbered as track 01.

Isobuster misinterprets leading track number as 0 or 2

I tried DIC, it did dump it okay, but it descrambles data sectors. They should be left scrambled. Track mode is AUDIO.

The disc is copy protected somehow by the last 15900 sectors. It's old review CD-R.

What protect?

It is a CD-R disc, they probably didn't even format the last sectors properly.
