You need to cut all the bytes before "00 FF FF FF..." with the remove.exe, then descramble the rest of the image with one of the software descramblers, then check the descrambled image for errors. The last sector in the scrambled image will be incomplete, so the last sector of the descrambled image will be missing, you will need to read it separately and join to the end of the image.

How about cdtoimg?
The disc has been returned to its owner already (who doesn't have any Plextor), but it constantly gives the proper bytes (like on the right) with all the 0xBE reading tools (IsoBuster, CloneCD, etc.).

If you can cut the unneeded bytes and descramble everything with no errors, the errors count should be 0.
Perhaps admin or moderator will judge it properly.
I haven't understood if the sector is damaged/wrongsized or just has some additional sync bytes before the actual sync.
It is different, hence the "R" (reprint/revised/whatever).
they might have actually fixed the issue with cold booting the console with BUG! in the drive.
I've compared both images before and, IIRC, the only thing that was fixed is the serial number in the header (GM-81004 was fixed to MK-81004). But it's still quite an interesting change to be preserved 
It reads the disc subs 5 times, then combines the results and tries to reread the damaged sectors. You can open the logfile with Far Manager or similar and watch the process in real time.
I think we need some tool to mass-check the last sector for the noedc tracks.

You've misunderstood something, it's a database with checksums, we don't have any images here.
The bug is yet to be confirmed by the disc's owner, but I really don't like this:
DIC dump to the left, old bin-cue dump to the right. And I really don't think these 2 bytes should be zeroed.
