Wouldn't surprise me if my copy was the same. I have the gold pack as well. I suppose it would save on duplication costs, not having to make any special master.

it looks like track02 actually has a pregap of 2:00, this is a bug in EAC when there is only 2 tracks.

Try to rip with perfect rip, if that doesn't work, then you can extract the sectors manually with ISObuster (from-to) and attach them to the EAC dump of track02 with a hex editor. You need to know the combined offset of course, because it's likely you'll have to compensate for that... if you check the video guide posted in the stickies it can show you what to do. Although it has to do with large negative offset... it is the same technique.

You can't extract RAW from a DVD. tongue

Extract User Data (.iso)

Thai language needs added, also could you group them in columns instead of all on top of each other so you don't have to scroll around as much. Same with Region, in several columns and not this one looooooong one.

Can you move BARCODE above RING code so I don't have to scroll around in my notes as much.

RING code max size should be increased to 255 from 127 (dual layer dvd's can have rather long codes)

Can you add, -22, +222, and +1176 to the common disc offsets.

Thanks.

Nice, should speed stuff up. Hopefully you liked the ideas I had for that GUI version (should work with cli too wink enough for you to make it. Check out the version Themabus made too which has some extra removal stuff. Maybe it's possible to combine the 2, while still retaining backwards compatibility.

I have STALKER Clear Sky , which is Tages and DVD. I dumped it just fine with ISOBuster.

The disc must be damaged then, because I've dumped tages and there is no errors like safedisc. It is almost exactly the same as SecuROM and uses twin sectors and custom topography.

Is this a CD or DVD?

looks like we will hit 13000 before the end of this month aswell.

Just dumping with ddump with no special format switches, and dumping twice with the log did the trick. Thanks. =]

Tages is really no different than SecuRom, it is easily dumped. But if you want to use the image you need an MDS for the data positioning.

BurnOut 1.02 is ok, I posted a thread about it.

What error do you get for protectionid? I can pass it to the author, I am in contact with him.

Maybe check your settings on scanning, it can crash on any system depending on how deep you scan.

How to dump these? I tried ddump and it doesn't seem to work very well with them. I tried the laserlock switch, and dumping them twice, but it doesn't use the .log to skip sectors like it does with safedisc switch.

I checked the dump in CDMage and ALL sectors on the disc have errors according to it.

The game I am trying to dump is CD1 of Traitor's Gate from Dreamcatcher games.

BurnOut 1.02 has been released. This is a good protection scanner for CD/DVD based games on PC. It's a good supplement to ProtectionID, because it can detect some versions of SafeDisc, SecuRom which ProtectionID does not recognize.

Which version of daemon tools? newer versions don't work properly. 3.47 does work, but only on 32bit systems.

I have seen discs mastered with many many different tools also. My rockstar gta collection discs were mastered with nero.

So it's normal imo if it's a retail disc.

Can someone code a tool for plextor drives with D8 command for dumping subs in deinterlaved format?

This is really needed to check gaps on audio tracks. No tools I have work properly or give right output. CloneCD, PerfectRip and CD Tool all fail in one way or the other.

The sectors themselves can be read by any tool, so it must be possible to read the subchannels.

Also the single dump will have data missing from the end of the last track due to the write offset most of the time.

better to use cdmage and load the cue sheet, and save the image to a different directory.

Ripping pure audio is different, you append to PREVIOUS track.

I dunno how that cue sheet got so screwed up though... a complete mess. There should be just INDEX 01's, no INDEX 00's.

Will have to make a little guide for this. I think there is a workable system for doing it, I have to thank fireball and ir0b0t for checking the subs and helping me out with it.

I'll try to put together an addendum for the dumping guide, just for this protection. Problem is I don't know how to analyze subs properly yet. If there was a good tool for it released soon it would help.

A combination of ISOBuster, EAC, cdtoimg, descramble_CDDA, a calculator and a hex editor is needed to do it.

MDS/MDF is really only need for securom, tages and starforce which needs DPM. Most everything else can either be in bin/cue or ccd format.

We really need an editing tool which can convert between various images and split subs etc. This way we could make sure to get a good dump of something and integrate the subs/audio into the image and still retain the DPM measurement data. But this is only needed for some cases which aren't to common.

Integrating clonecd discs out of stuff with cdextra or other special cases and would be a nice feature.

You can't make or edit an mdf, that's the main problem, only alcohol or converter tool like ultraiso can make it.

Pakkiso also uses the cue for proper naming when compressing/decompressing.

Alcohol, Clone CD and other dumping tools cannot extract audio correctly either. Audio is saved on disc in raw sectors with no ECC checksums, so the data must be reads several times per sectors to ensure that it has been read correctly.

Also Alcohol and CloneCD will happily buzz right over errored sectors in the data track and try to fix them with error correction, so you don't know if your slightly scratched disc is read properly or not.

Okidoki, shouldn't be a problem then.
