Hello !

I thought it was a mistake so I search on the others headers of the same game, from US (TOSEC / TRURIP / etc.)
Apparently, they fucked up the region for this game as they put J for Japan in the header, for the US releases.

http://redump.org/disc/54178/

So the Region wasn't Japan but US as I only get the CD and not the cover. I compare with the others GdG releases and they are in the good Region.

Thanks for your attention smile

JC

PS: Btw I've added more Japan Demo

But it it doesn't work on US consoles due to region restriction, why should we set it to US?

Not sure that the 0x01F0 byte is the only security for region restriction, I have no sega CD to test it, but I'll try with an emulated bios to verify that, maybe you have tried it before ?

Ok I have just test it with fusion and the original CD, it only boot when I am on a Sega CD Bios, the PAL & JAP bios don't boot and we only can play tracks

I wouldn't really trust Fusion, since it's entirely built on CRC-based hacks, many games refuse to work/boot in it, if to change the header.

Is similar then to Lawnmower man for the European region was mastered using the USA region code, http://redump.org/disc/53278/
It is a European release that won’t work on European consoles. (And was withdrawn from sale eventually because of this I believe)

Not really as the lawnmower man was burnt from a US master version, this is why this is written Sega Genesis in the header.

I'll try to find a real Sega or if someone can burn the image and test it on a real hardware it would be cool, I only have pal version here, and not sure to go at my parents home before a month hmm

@F1ReB4LL: It's a good start indeed, now it would be better on a real hardware, thanks to pointing the fusion trick, we will find the problem smile
I'll use sconv, the sega cd region converter to see what byte are really modified then I could compare with the iso
