Topic: [FIXED] Moto Racer 2

I recently dumped a copy of Moto Racer 2 that was bundled in the "Ultimate Motorcycle Series" box that also included Road Rash and Superbike World Championship.

Tracks 1-16 match, but track 17 doesn't.

Sectors 1-75 of mine just a bunch of "00"s, while darksabre76's and Nexy's dump has a bunch of scrambled data.

EDIT: Also, Exact Audio Copy got a Sync Error on Track 16. DIC dumped that track without problems.

Track 17 pregap is audio and the track is data track. It all boils down to a question: when is a sector descrambled. IMHO those 75 sectors should be left as is and copied from scm file. The rest should be descrambled. Does it make sense?

Re: [FIXED] Moto Racer 2

The dump looks correct, haven't seen the Nexy's one.

These are zeroes, neither scrambled or descrambled.

Re: [FIXED] Moto Racer 2

I wonder what caused darksabre76's dump to be different? Do different DIC versions produce different dumps?

He only reported the error count?

Re: [FIXED] Moto Racer 2

For some reason audio zero (checked the scm file) sectors were descrambled. That 75 sectors are just scrambled zeroes. Is it expected for DIC: May 18 2017 23:08:37 ?

Re: [FIXED] Moto Racer 2

IIRC Yellow Book specifies that for an audio to data transition, the data track pregap should start with 1 second of audio silence.
Dreamcast dumps where there's audio tracks followed by a data track in the high density area should have this too.
Scrambled audio data doesn't make any sense. The dreamcast dumps have zeroes too, so I fixed this.

@reentrant, maybe you could check for other PC dumps that might have this wrong.

Audio zeroes can't be scrambled or descrambled, these are zeroes.

If the Nexy's dump had 75 scrambled data sectors there, that should be examined. Maybe worth to dump the disc with cdtoimg_d8 and check that area.

The .scm file is the same thing as a cdtoimg_d8 dump? The problem was with the descrambling process.

Re: [FIXED] Moto Racer 2

I mean, to verify that DIC hasn't zeroed that area smile Afterall, Nexy has got data sectors there somehow...
And why darksabre76 doesn't comment here? Would be nice to see his hashes.
