Re: [NEEDS DUMPER STATUS] [PC] Assassin's Creed Directors Cut (EU) (1.02)

Hi,

PVD and copy protections / DRM info are missing.

Re: [NEEDS DUMPER STATUS] [PC] Assassin's Creed Directors Cut (EU) (1.02)

Oops.
Sorry for that.

Anyway, ProtectionID, BurnOut and A-Ray Scanner found no Protections.

However, I don't know where to get PVD Info, could you please point me to a Wiki Page or something?

Re: [NEEDS DUMPER STATUS] [PC] Assassin's Creed Directors Cut (EU) (1.02)

According to this post from sarami DiscImageCreator should be able to get this information.

Or use IsoBuster to get it, see here

Btw. matrix information is also missing from your submission.

edit: could you please check if
Game Title: "Assassin's Creed Directors Cut"
has any apostrophe ( ' ) in the word Directors

edit2: for copy protection, did you also check the disc itself with these tools or just the installed game folders?

Re: [NEEDS DUMPER STATUS] [PC] Assassin's Creed Directors Cut (EU) (1.02)

Oops yeah, ringcodes are also missing. Would be best to post some scans of the inner ring on the back of the disc.

I created another ISO using CloneCD for verification, equal hashes.

What do you mean with "martix" though? I don't get it.

Good Catch with the name btw, you're right, just checked the Game Case, its "Assassin's Creed Director's Cut"
(god damn my first dump and its a trainwreck :c )

EDIT:
Didn't see that last post will add tomorrow

PVD should be inside of _mainInfo.txt file according to sarami.

No such file was generated :c

Re: [NEEDS DUMPER STATUS] [PC] Assassin's Creed Directors Cut (EU) (1.02)

Maybe it was only available in the test release. If you can't or won't use IsoBuster we can leave it for later. This information is not of a high priority.

Re: [NEEDS DUMPER STATUS] [PC] Assassin's Creed Directors Cut (EU) (1.02)

Well, i AM fine with using IsoBuster as long as the free version is enough.

However, after Installing it i still dont have any Idea where to get PVD Information.

Going into Sector view while having the "DVD" Tab Selected, and then going to 16 shows me the following:

Re: [NEEDS DUMPER STATUS] [PC] Assassin's Creed Directors Cut (EU) (1.02)

for PVD, try the "PVD dumper" script attached by hiker13526, it makes it very easy for me to just drag the .bin or iso onto the bat

PVD should be inside of _mainInfo.txt file according to sarami.

This is only CD. I'll apply it to DVD too.
EDIT:
Added.

Only UDF? If so, the PVD of ISO9660 doesn't exist.

Re: [NEEDS DUMPER STATUS] [PC] Assassin's Creed Directors Cut (EU) (1.02)

Ok, just confirmed, the Disc is only formatted for UDF.

Additionally, after I tried another DVD (Portal 2 EU, will post later) to test DiscImageCreator's new version to see if it prints the PVD, i get this error:

[F:ReadVolumeDescriptor][L:1075] GetLastError: 1117, The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.

Actual PVD from IsoBuster (NOT Assassin's Creed):

Re: [NEEDS DUMPER STATUS] [PC] Assassin's Creed Directors Cut (EU) (1.02)

Some fixed.

Does UDF have another form of PVD, and if yes, how do I get it?

"Recording Date and Time" exists in LBA 32, 48, 64. But perhaps "Volume Creation/Modification/Expiration/Effective Date and Time"
doesn't exist in UDF.

If there is no ISO9660 file system all time values will be zero'ed because "PVD" is meant to be for ISO9660 = sector 16.

You can try to use the fixed version of DIC, but we either have to leave the PVD field empty on this one and note that there is only UDF file system on this disc, or do the PVD with zero'ed times in it and make a note about UDF only.

Re: [NEEDS DUMPER STATUS] [PC] Assassin's Creed Directors Cut (EU) (1.02)

Well, in my Opinion, there is technically no PVD on this disc, so I'd say to leave out the PVD field and have a Note saying that this Disc only uses an UDF File System (or maybe add a new Field for UDF only?).

But, I dont think this is my Decision to make, it's just my Opinion on the matter.

I tried DiscImageCreator again, the _mainInfo stays empty (intended?).

Re: [NEEDS DUMPER STATUS] [PC] Assassin's Creed Directors Cut (EU) (1.02)

I am not sure whether ANY other file systems have those time values.

True.
I just started making dumps, I dont really know much about them exept for what I'm learning here.

What would you say would be best?

If there is no ISO9660 file system PVD field won't be filled, i hope its what sarami did = it was intended.
