Topic: [FIXED???] Sarami's IBM PC/PC-98/FMT dupe entries

http://redump.org/disc/23569/ and http://redump.org/disc/29403/

It's not allowed to add the same disc twice or, even, 3 times. I agree, that it's a database's fault not to be able to assign multiple systems to 1 entry, but it's not the reason to flood it with multiple entries containing the same dump. You're only allowed to add 1 disc once, the rest should go into the comments.

I've noticed the barcodes are different - are the releases themselves different (different boxes, CDs, but the dumps match)?
http://redump.org/disc/33798/ -- barcode is incorrect? http://www.suruga-ya.jp/kaitori_detail/127000132 says the last digits are 08, not 88.

Which system do you think is "main" for the above-mentioned titles (so I could remove the rest)?

I see.

Sorry, you're right. Could you fix the barcode.

This series was released at FMT at first. So I think FMT is main and could you remove the rest.

Re: [FIXED???] Sarami's IBM PC/PC-98/FMT dupe entries

@F1ReB4LL  are those dupe entries save to be removed or should they still stay in db?

Edit: two of them are missing the comment "Also compatible with ..."

Re: [FIXED???] Sarami's IBM PC/PC-98/FMT dupe entries

Well, let's try to understand the list of releases and their order. As far as I understand, we're talking about 9 titles:

Psychic Detective Series Vol. 1: Invitation
Psychic Detective Series Vol. 2: Memories
Psychic Detective Series Vol. 3: Aya
Psychic Detective Series Vol. 4: Orgel
Psychic Detective Series Vol. 5: Nightmare
Psychic Detective Series Final: Solitude Joukan
Psychic Detective Series Final: Solitude Gekan
Ms. Detective File #1: Iwami Ginzan Satsujin Jiken (2 discs)
Ms. Detective File #2: Sugata-naki Irainin

As far, as I see, each of these was released for PC-98, FM-Towns and IBM-PC (DOS/V) under the same serial. Additionally, there was a series of remakes for FM-Towns under the different serials and 2 different series of remakes for IBM-PC (Win95) also under different serials. All 3 series of remakes seem to contain different data and out of the question here.

So, the questions are:

1) Are there only 9 of them?
2) Were all 9 titles released for FMT before PC-98 and DOS/V? Is it safe to set FMT as the "main" platform for all 9 titles?
3) Is it verified that all 9 "triples" match each other?
4) Is there a complete list of all the FMT and Win95 remakes to maintain/name the whole series properly?
5) Was it the only series of releases for PC-98? suruga-ya lists some titles separately for PC-9801 and PC-9821, example: http://www.suruga-ya.jp/kaitori_detail/145002148 vs. http://www.suruga-ya.jp/kaitori_detail/145043592
Do we really have 3 matching releases per title (FMT/DOSV/PC-98) or are we talking about 4 releases for each (FMT/DOSV/PC-9801/PC-9821)? https://pastebin.com/iHpCdmK3 -- the list of suruga ones.

Re: [FIXED???] Sarami's IBM PC/PC-98/FMT dupe entries

I cannot answer these questions. But if those red dupe discs should stay longer there its fine. I was just wondering.

There are 7 titles in "Psychic Detective Series", 2 titles in "Ms. Detective".

Original version (http://redump.org/disc/23566/, http://redump.org/disc/27268/, http://redump.org/disc/23567/, http://redump.org/disc/23563/, http://redump.org/disc/24204/) These 5 titles exist only FMT.

Remake version (http://redump.org/disc/33798/, http://redump.org/disc/33799/, http://redump.org/disc/27760/, http://redump.org/disc/25039/, http://redump.org/disc/23570/) These 5 titles exist FMT, PC9821 (not PC98), DOS/V, MAC.
wikipedia: https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%87 … 83%88#DCCS

Vol1 - Vol. 5 of Win95 is the migration of remake version.
Final Solitude of Win95 is the migration of original version. (Final Solitude doesn't exist remake version.)
wikipedia: https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%87 … 88#Windows
BTW, Vol. 3 and Vol. 4 was migrated to PC-Engine, Mega-CD too.

"Ms. Detective" is released with FMT, PC-9821.

I think so.

suruga-ya is incorrect.

No, I mean, are there only 9 DAPS titles total, where 1 CD is compatible with PC-9821, DOS/V and FM-Towns?

Mac releases also have DWDC codes? And all 9 titles are compatible with 4 platforms, not 3? PC-9821, DOS/V, FM-Towns _AND_ Mac?

You mean dccs(Datawest Compatible CD System), not DAPS(Datawest Active Picture System)?
https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/DAPS

DAPS is supported by original, remake, win95, "Ms. Detective", that is, all titles. dccs is supported by remake, and "Ms. Detective", that is, 7 titles.

And sorry, perhaps mac release may not exist. As the supported machine name, there are PC-9821, TM-TOWNS, DOS/V in manual.
That is, wikipedia is perhaps incorrect.

Change the system for http://redump.org/disc/27760/ and http://redump.org/disc/23570/ to FM-Towns, please.

sarami: it is safe to do this, I guess? These 2 are PC-98 releases, according to the barcodes, but FMT ones should be the same, with exactly the same ringcodes?

What do you think about moving them into the FM-Towns section as well? And to make the FM-Towns platform "main" for such hybrids?
