I've come accross a few titles for the Sega Mega CD which have updated 32x versions, or are dedicated only to those who own the 32x. Night Trap is a good example of this as it was released as both a standard Sega CD version and a Sega CD 32x version.

My question is how would these be listed in the Clrmame dat to distinguish between the different versions? In most cases the games title has no mention of 32x - just the printed media/packaging specifies this. I am aware that as far as the redump database listing goes it won't be a problem because of the dirrerent serial/ring code.

I personally think the version number field should contain "32x" that way when cataloging in Clrmame I know which requie the 32x to operate.

Right I'm off to bed. Nite all  wink

Currently the games receive a 32X tag:

Corpse Killer (USA) (32X)

I think it's the only example available.
