I just dumped the PS2 game 'Ultimate Board Game Collection' and almost submitted it as a DVD5 because it has the standard 'silver' CD/DVD color (NOT the usual PS2 blue-green CD color) even though it on CD medium. Evidentially, Sony has stopped requiring the colored CDs. It might be a good idea to change the PS2 dumping tutorial info about how to identify CD versus DVD or someone might make the same mistake I almost did.
I don't think this is a problem.
If there's a choice to "extract raw data" in isobuster, choose that one and remember it's a CD.
If there's only "extract user data" selectable, choose that one and remember it's a DVD.
Case closed?
I didn't mean it's a problem- just that the tutorial says 'CDs are green' and they aren't always.
An inexperienced dumper could make a mistake so why not say 'usually green and will always say CD ROM'?
Well, yes, you got a point there.
If someone wants to update the guide, that'd be cool, but I really doubt anyone ever will, lol.
